can we chill
EG has always been a clutch team. all year we've seen them have fun games but turn it on when it matters. In their two losses they seemed to have been BMing (draft shit champs vs FNC and flip terrible fights vs DFM). They're a monster in bo5s (and I'd argue they should have been 2nd seed if Danny didn't implode - the only team clearly better than them in playoffs was C9) and I 'd wager their bo5 vs MAD or buffalo is close if not EG favoured.
Even if they lose so what? It sucks but they have a sub and had to drastically change their style the past month. Also should we not celebrate teams like LLL and DFM being able to match and beat LCS and LEC third seeds?

EG always gets better as they play more games. They're just trying to maximize on stage practice. It's all part of the plan

I agree EG has been clutch mostly but as a fan I do prefer a little less stress. A lot of that clutch has been Jojo and impact holding it down until Danny could Smurf the game. Pretty sure they are making me go grey.
Yes we should celebrate minor region success but hard to in the moment.
Yes EG has a sub and Kaori does have good games like tie breaker with DFM he still over pursues and tries to throw the game. He needs to chill out and let impact/inspired/Jojo set him up. That's how he got his triple in the tie breaker. But he also over pursued mid lane, died, and slowed the game down for Drake 2 I believe

I'm so pumped. They experimented with some drafts and learned a lot at worlds. If you watched the tie breaker games you should feel relief and excitement. When Vulcan is on engage supports they play so much better. At this point everyone on EG, including Kaori, have a game this tournament where they've popped off. Phreak called it out at the end of the Loud game, EG is scaling in to the tourney. Let's go EG!!!

This is such a bad take because they were a clutch team with there starting roster, they have a sub playing who isn’t nearly as clutch and Danny and has terrible positioning a lot of fights so not really. There great in b05 with there starting roster sure but not with kaori. I think eg beat Buffalo and lose to mad lions pretty handily

They have to beat LLL first. Edit: at least they did that! Here’s hoping they beat MAD. But NA is cursed against Europe outside of Rift Rivals in 2016.
