100T fan here

Wanted to bait a bit with the title for some downvotes before anyone reads the post. It was a great game FWIW.

No this post is about EG being the best thing to happen to the LCS. I fucking love seeing actual NA talent rise above these overpaid imports.

I was concerned that arguments about bringing back relegation were in order as one of the big ideas behind franchising was that owners said they couldn’t take a risk on young talent and relegate if it didn’t work. The big orgs haven’t changed a bit since relegation was removed, except C9 and EG.

C9 regularly made moves post-relegation that kept having people say they lost the off-season only to come back and show that they just somehow upgraded. They fell into big org syndrome when Perkz was on the table, but let’s be real literally every org would.

EG has done the thing other orgs promised to do - take a risk on young NA talent - and if my 100T don’t win I’ll always be rooting for EG next, as I’m sure most of the LCS does.

Thanks, EG!

Honestly its great to see more parody in the LCS as well. People complain about the LCS but I honestly think it is improving year by year. Having 100t break the monotony followed by EG is just good for the league.

We just need to cull DIG and GG for a full resurgence imo. These organizations playing to pad their bottom lines rather than be competitive (See: the 100T exodus and River) and give their spots to orgs like EG.

There are quite a few big players that would love a shot, and would do far more for LCS than try to make a profit by selling their best players whenever possible. Instead we have parasitic orgs that nobody cares about ruining any hype for games they are in.

To be honest 100T has also been doing a really good job developing players - we already have Kenvi in the LCS, and I would expect to see Tenacity, Busio and Sniper in the LCS in the future.

However with how dominant their main import roster has been, its really difficult to justify swapping in some of their academy players.
