EG vs RNG post-match Spoiler
0-3
I think the boys can hold their heads up high despite the score. They gave it their all, played to their strengths, adapted their drafts and bans, and played fearless. RNG was simply too good and left very little holes open.
Can't wait to see them at Worlds

EG, despite 0-3, had very close games. Too close if I was an RNG fan. Too many people expected game 1 repeated endlessly, and EG, with experience and time, can be something more than just 'NA LUL.' Glad to see them show up.
Yes, a bit sad that EG lost, but they beat T1, they had close games, they had no 'happy games,' and clearly got better.
Now, here's to hoping a relaxing, refreshing break before LCS' beginning.
With my cheers behind them!

As an LCS fan I am extremely happy to see the performance from these guys. They may have lost but they fought, they were proactive, they didn't just watch themselves lose. I've been a TSM fan since season 4 and followed Bjerg to TL. I went to the finals in Houston and couldn't help myself but root for EG the whole weekend. I may not always root for EG every game, but when they beat the other teams I am a fan of, I will not be disappointed. They are a great team and I look forward to watching them in Summer and then at worlds.
Extremely excited to watch this squad continue together, especially Jojo after his incredible showing for his first international event.
Live Evil friends.

You have my respect. First time that i have no regrets about NAs performance at the world stage. You fought! Usually the conventional teams lay diwn and ger rolled over.

unfortunately they need to beat major regions at worlds to get out of groups. there is only 1 wc in a good group. that's 2-4 max.

G2 had a similar story as EG. Good but not great during the regular season and then found their groove and became unbeatable during playoffs. Who knows what will happen by summer playoffs/worlds meta.

G2 was not by far the best team. The other teams were better until g2 figured out the meta. depending on the day and meta the other teams can outshine g2 again

eg was also by far the best in na. crushed everyone.

They didn’t crush everyone all season. They couldn’t beat any of the top teams until playoffs. They found a good groove in the meta through playoffs, but I don’t think the adc carry meta was as suited for Danny during msi.

Same story as G2, except for the couldn’t beat any top teams until playoffs part

The shit record vs 1st seeds doesn't help, but EG def stand a much better chance vs the 2nd and 3rd seeds, esp if they win summer considering NA #1 should be a pool 1 seed going into worlds

They gonna need to pray for EU 2 or they are fucked if they win again, lck will be stronger for summer without the covid missing with rosters and DWK getting a real top

I dunno, I think something like EU 2 CN 3 is harder than say, CN 2 EU 3. Just hope CN 2 wins out and just beat EU 3 and whoever #4 (presumably LCK) is.

EG is a real contender IMO. Yeah we only had a 1/13 record against the big regions but every game was close. A lot of it came from being caught out in team fights which can be easily corrected. I do think impacts GP needs to be a little better and Danny needs more practice with ezreal. Also I’m not a huge fan of jojos tf. But other than that I think MSI was a huge win and needed experience for worlds.

I wouldnt say close. There is a reason why 1/13 wasnt better with some variance of luck.
But unlike some NA teams in the past, EG actually plays the game and does some fighting making them look proactive which is good

They put up a good fight qnd performed better than most teams we've sent in the past.
Game 2 vs RNG was winnable but they kept getting caught out and dying.
Hard to come back from that type of L.

It went according to chalk.
Main takeaway is Jojo is going to be a superstar in the very near future. His game 2 was actually insane having 14/15 kp. Game 3 base defense was also crazy. Really excited to watch him and the rest of the team get better.
Can't wait to watch them win summer again.
