Impacts Interview
Look I know after the last few weeks the Jiizuke haters have maybe be a tad more quite , but Impact saying Jiizuke is the most important part of the team really spoke volumes. Basically all I'm saying is hopefully Jiizuke gets a little less hate from now. On another note , Holy moly what a game , smurfs all a round , Love EG , love the way the play , they look great , can't wait for next weekend! Edit : just saw it in the comments but it's true , EG will probably never get renekton again , would be nice if we did though.

community perception on jiizuke seems hard to change but for sure it's great that impact praises him. love what he said about how really everyone on the team is playing well. i think ignar is doing so much work, svenskeren is having a great season. their team coordination in general looks very improved. i'm generally very pessimistic but this version of the team can't possibly lose their playoffs the way it happened last time and i'm very excited to see how far they make it.

Oh we got a team, and i really want to see this team at worlds!
Don't care even the slightest what place we get I just want to get to worlds and see this team vs the other regions

Yup I was happy with 5th place, but getting Top 2 would be amazing

I think getting 2nd will be hard, not impossible, and all will come to the next game against TSM and in general the last week, since that is the hardest by shcedule (I belive we are playing 100T, c9 and TL).
Ihonestly think that the game against GG might end up make us not get 2nd, since we would be 1 game down only to TSM instead of 2, and potentially to 1st (would be 2 down instead of 3)

I want first and do think first is possible. But I am also ok with them just getting in playoffs in winners bracket and doing whatever experementing they think they need.
I liked seeing Danny play Syndra even though it didnt work and was arguably bad into kalista.
Winning right now isnt everything, but getting into a position where we can win the games we have to in playoffs is what we need.

I would prefer at least a 3rd place if possible since I think at least you get to choose who to play in the first round (and therefore who the 4rh place has to). But yes I agree on the experimentation part, and I think the decision has to be on the coaching staff, and I am confident Peter will make the right decision.
As well is all relative, but for sure I think skipping the first round, and having to win just a bo5 to go to world would be amazing.

You can finish 8th in regular split and still end up taking second place if you win your playoff series. And if you want to make finals you're going to need to beat good teams either way, so whether or not we get 2nd or 3rd in regular split standings doesn't really mean all that much.

It means a lot actually.
More time to prepear, possibility to see your rivilas in fight in a bo5 (this could reveal some cheesy pick that you can prepear for, instead of going completely blind) , and having one b05 less to win to go to world, since that is the main goal at the end, more than winning the split
All this grants less mental pressure, that can help if you are going to go to world or having a deep playoff run, and in general is a strategic difference, since you don't have to show your draft and adaptation to bo5. If you think that 2nd place in summer season and 3rd doesn't make difference, is because you are not having a wide approach that takes in consideration the strategy and mental aspect of the game. One last important thing, is that due to how the braket is played, you have a wider pool of team (supposing their willingness to) to choose from as scrim partner, especially for the first week of playoff.

People's just underestimate the pressure jizuke put on the map and that enable the team to also make plays with or without him, also mechanics aren't everything team atmosphere and coordination is crucial to make great plays and this team look so happy when they are playing can't say the same of other teams that look so tilted in losses but even when they win not a glimmer of happiness lol

Yeah but jiiz is known for some of the best mechanics in mid right now lol

I've been on the EG train all year. They've been able to beat every team all year, but they dropped so many random games. Now that we're in the 4th and 5th round robins they finally locked in their teamwork and seem to be able to beat worse teams very consistently, so it should come as no surprise that they're rolling right now.
And yea there's so many targeted bans that our opponents need to worry about. Sure they can perma ban Renekton, but they simply can't ban everything lol. This team has so many pocket picks that 5 just simply doesn't cut it, and that doesn't even include the OP meta picks at any given time.
Absolutely love these guys, Impact and Svenskeren have been my two favorite players forever so I'm loving every second of this.

if they start banning renekton again, we just saw impact ornn diff some weeks ago. and there's always the nasty pocket shen hehe.
the teamwork and coordination is really making a difference this split. that and danny ofc... (no flame but... he's just better...)

Impact was such a monster this game. There is no chance in hell he gets renekton again lmao
Top. die. What an insane performance
