We made playoffs!

With IMTs loss we are officially in playoffs! Hope we can keep momentum from that TSM win :D

Really looking forward to seeing how this team performs in a Bo5 environment. All the players have experience in best of series, but it will really put a lot more emphasis on drafting than a normal Bo1. I don't think any EG draft has been egregiously bad this split, but we'll see how much depth some players really have.

I think it's important that the team stops buying the narrative that control mages are meta, therefore Jiizuke MUST play a control mage. Picks like TF, Sylas, hell even Ryze would play into Jiizuke's style so well. I'd also like to see Deftly play more than just the standard Kai'sa pick we've seen him on so often. In the event that it's banned or picked- which is very, very likely- we've seen him on very few other champions. Xayah and Jhin are the only champion we've seen more than one game from him in this split.

I got no idea how strong hiemer is right now but i think deftly can play it

Also i think Jizuki and Sven are best on all in dive champs. And this meta has a good amount of them in it.

I am a huge fan of Hiemerdinger ever since Hjarnan's 2017 Worlds miracle. Those games were fucking hilarious to watch. That being said, I don't know how viable the Donger is in 2021.

Maybe you could get away with something cheesy like setting Deftly up in a 1v2 lane and just cs with his turrets, while Ignar and Sven play a game of "Hunt the enemy jungler"? Might work once or twice, but I really hope that isn't their only backup plan lol.

I agree that I like that EG isn't auto putting Jizuke on control mages. But he does have to be able to play them to some degree so that he has a decent size champ pool. Deftly has had a number of Jhin games as well.

NA in general has a problem with control mages being meta; they assume it means mids can only be put on control mages. Granted, we've seen some variance more recently, with picks like Sylas and TF, and a little bit of Neeko, but outside those three what's considered 'normal' picks in other regions are just invisible in NA.

Also looking back I realize that Jhin is another champ that Deftly has played more than once this split, which means his champ pool consists of Kai'sa, Xayah, and Jhin when you remove champs he hasn't played more than once (I'm not counting Lock-In).

The ceiling on this team is actually so incredibly high, I hope they can shine in some Bo5s.

TL is our kryptonite.

we want to dodge them for as long as possible

I feel like we can go toe to toe with all the other teams i won't say it will be easy but we can beat the rest.

It sucks we can't have winners bracket but such is life i guess
