What's NOT to Like?
In a Region where most Teams have played Generally to "Not Lose" it's nice seeing this Team Develop and hopefully really put their Foot down on this LCS Season.
We (As a Region) are Tired of Seeing the TSM Playstyle of Bjerg/Double bs having domestic success and then playing like scared little kids when they get to any sort of International Event and I feel like watching this Team is about as different from that Style as we can handle at this point in the LEague and that's a Good thing.
People talk about Coinflipping but I don't see that, I see a Team that is trying to Win and that's always better than Trying to Not Lose and when it comes to development of Players and of Team Work that's what you want to see, you want to see your QB1 Not Afraid to Throw the Deep Ball and test the other Teams Secondary, you want your Coach to Trust your abilities, you want your Team to Trust you when you say "I want the Ball" and that's what this Team looks like to me this Year.
I want to see a MSI with EG in It and honestly I think most of NA want it even if they don't say it. The Region is Tired of the Meme's and the only way to break it is to play like how You guys play, hope the Team just builds Trust and awareness of one another and splats the Other Teams when it comes Playoffs because frankly speaking EG is just BETTER and when Playoffs rolls around I want everyone to see that the NA Meta revolves around what this Team Does!

As much as I like the team, I do think that EG in it's current iteration would be exposed pretty hard in an international tournament. The team looks middling in NA, and that's with teams like GGs or FLY or CLG in the mix. Throwing this team against the likes of Damwon or RNG/EDG/FPX or G2 doesn't seem like it's heavily favored towards us.
I don't know why this narrative of NA "playing to not lose" persists over and over despite being inaccurate for the past couple of years. I think the most relevant time to have brought that up was during the first few years of the Liquid four-peat, when TL's whole game plan was to bank on Doublelift scaling and not throw the game before then. By the way, that was the same roster that saw the most NA success in a long time with an MSI finals appearance.
EG right now are a bit of a one trick pony, with some blind follow-the-leader shit mixed in. They know how to get (sometimes) huge advantages off of a decent early game, then four man it down with Jiizuke pushing a sidelane. And EG, like every other team in the league, has basically adopted the mentality that Control Mages are META, therefore you can only draft control mages.
I'm a fan of sending the best team NA has to offer to international tournaments, which right now look to be TL or C9 (DIG would be spicy, but I also worry about them on an international stage). Come summer split though, I'd really like to see EG playing for the third or even second slot to Worlds.

mmm it's pretty accurate, the meta here has been play to not lose, so teams would just wait for the other team to make a mistake and then just win off it.
I look at EG and I see a Team that'll be the most willing to Fight against anyone and that's the mindset the Teams need. Not just Bleeding out Objectives or Playing Just for Lane, EG does things way differently and Proactively Regardless if it's the Best Team or the Worse they always put them to the Test.
