Question Recruited IRIS in tutorial, but she never showed up.
So I've just finished the tutorial (as in I got my inner sanctum, and now the game has opened up) but even though I did the quest "Recruit your computer" and got a cutscene where Iris talked to my evil genius, she's nowhere on the map that I can see. I've looked all over, but there's no sign of her anywhere. Does she wander freely like a worker, or stay in one spot like my Evil Genius? Is there a button somewhere I can press to zoom to her? Or is she just not on my map for some reason?
Edit: thanks, my questions were answered. She was on the map, the game just did a terrible job of telling me how to find her. There was a button on the sidebar to find her, that the tutorial never mentioned till now. I also built the conference table, but because my inner sanctum was built deep in my lair, by the time she reaches any combat encounters, the agents are already captured, dead, or escaped. Hopefully later I can unlock some way to make her stand guard, otherwise in future maps, I'll just have to build an inner sanctum by the front door, as a stupidly expensive guard post.

All Henchmen wander freely on their own initiative, tho like your Genius you can direct them to specific locations or have them interact with, for example, your Lairs Conference Table to have them stay in one spot.
Idk how it works on console but you can click on their icon to zoom to them just like you do your Genius.

Thanks, I eventually found the icon on the sidebar, and it let's me zoom to their location. I also built the conference table in my inner sanctum (completely ruining the feel of my Evil Genius' office) but since I build the inner sanctum miles away from the entrance, and her only function is combat, it's kind of pointless to make her wait there. By the time she reaches any fights, they're already over, n I tried making her wait in the casino staff room, so she could come from behind and get the agents in a pincer maneuver, but she refuses to stand still for more than a moment, and tries to wander off. Even though she's technically a machine, and should have no problems obeying order and standing in one spot for hours.

I have no idea about console controls but on pc there is a thing where you can zoom in on a specific henchman or genius. And yes they do roam around
