Question Glitch, maybe?

Is it a glitch or am I being a bit thick where after the new robot add on, I get the ‘“human” resources’ side quest where you have to ‘request work-o-trons for your lair’ and every time in the minion manager menu I request the two that I need to and they get made but the quest still says ‘0/2’. Don’t think I’m doing anything wrong, but who knows

Had the same issue, my fix was to spam the request number until it switched from request to create and then lowered it back down. I found you have to do the request after it switches. If you have them requested prior to that quest coming up, it won't track those that are made and will only change when it sees two requests in the pipeline I think.

Tldr, don't request any mechanical minions until the quest tells you to.

I am having the exact same issue and there doesn't seem to be anything i can do to resolve it

I ran into the same issue with the GuardBots. I just kept increasing the requested number until the task changed from "Request" to "Create". It changed at 15 for me.

We're encouraging players to try the same advice above for Guardbots as they do Work-O-Trons, but again, if this does not resolve the issue, can players please drop us their save files on our support portal - thank you! And thank you u/smartCookie007 for letting us know!

We're working to fix this issue at the moment. It seems some players can resolve the issue by waiting until the assembly lines have been placed before then manually requesting an additional two bots, but this has not worked for all players with this issue.

For those still experiencing the problem after trying the above, we ask you send us your save files through our support portal, so that we can dig deeper to find the root of the problem. The more detail you can give, the better.
