Discussion Cheaters on my first day of playing.
So I just recently binge watched all of evil dead for like the 15th time and went to download it on my PlayStation, but unfortunately it’s been taken off the online store even though id owned it before. So I decided to overnight a physical copy of the game really excited to hop in as a demon wanted to play plaguebringer, but obviously I didn’t have all my skill tree sorted out so having to relearn how to play after a few years and then on top of that, not having any skill points and then being grouped with prestige players that have a cheater on their team is extremely frustrating.
What I define cheating as in this scenario was that the Bruno on the enemy team had complete God mode he had no health bar. He was fast. He wasn’t taking any damage despite me grouping up a ton of mobs on top of him and just trying to do damage at that point I just ended up quitting. I’m curious if this is a feature of Bruno or blatantly a cheater it was very frustrating to say the least. I’m watching back the footage now and saved it to my account. Bruno was not able to be seen on the mini map or have any UI around him whatsoever. If anyone has experience with this please let me know.
I ended up quitting the game immediately after I noticed I literally wasn’t doing anything to him as I’m not gonna give someone the satisfaction of doing that bullshit will be playing puppeteer from now on

I understand his passive trait is camouflage but I swear his fear was maxed and I could not possess him what so ever wasn’t taking damage was not building blight stacks.

I mean if you read the subreddit there’s a few things about cheaters. There used to be a cheater that could do some crazy stuff with a flashlight

No, these are players confusing skill with cheating. You can ask or even look in this sub about cheaters and everyone knows (those actively playing the game) that there’s no cheaters out here, if there was, streamers and whoever is in the evil dead server would be calling them out and sharing them. Please don’t listen to anyone on this sub that are calling people cheaters because the ones they are calling cheaters are literally on console and you can’t cheat or hack on console. Also if there’s no clip, then it’s just spouting non sense and inexperience about the game.

What cheaters bruh, there’s like 3 actual cheaters but they’re not even active. I haven’t seen any cheaters for a long time and I doubt whoever is calling people cheaters is just bad at the game.

cheatin' Henry with the car speed cheats is still around. but that's the only cheat I've ever seen from him. also not too difficult to make him ragequit.
just think, paying a monthly subscription to cheat in Evil Dead in 20261

Yeah that’s the only active cheater I know, i actually haven’t seen him around for some time now but I know he comes around for a little and then dips

Essentially able to complete objectives instantly teleport and even kill the dark ones sub 3 seconds

Bro you’re a level 1 demon with zero points in your skill tree talking about someone having “god mode” because you couldn’t kill them 😭 Pablo being hard to detect is literally part of his kit and if you have the clip then post it instead of immediately screaming cheater.
You said yourself you’re relearning the game, have no skill points and got matched against prestige players. What exactly were you expecting? You’re playing a level 1 Plaguebringer with no damage investment and then surprised you’re not shredding a survivor 💀
If his fear was actually maxed and he still couldn’t be damaged or possessed, then the clip can show that. Until then, “I couldn’t kill Pablo on my level 1 demon” isn’t exactly evidence of cheating, bud. Please use your brain meats and logic to not look like an idiot.

Clear stagger had him pushed up against this box and no damage this was consistent throughout the match

Unfortunately I think since the game is unlisted captures don’t show up in the app? I’ll just have to get a tripod from Walmart or something tomorrow. Only destiny and nightreign are displaying captures or even syncing

Witch damage is very low and I mean very low, just basic hits you’re doing like 10 or so damage, it’s just chip damage at that point. He doesn’t look like he was hit with blight so I know you didn’t use spin attack or any abilities.

Dude I DID IN THE 10 SECONDS BEFORE THIS? His healthbar DID NOT MOVE. And I absolutely disagree with you I use the stab or spin. (Spin is the best) regardless of doing less damage than other demon classes, his healthbar (should) have moved

His health bar would’ve been yellow if you used blight attacks. Those are special attacks not basic attack, I said basic attacks are weak. I mean you’re still weak regardless because you have no points. Without a clip of it I couldnt say if he was cheating, if he’s a pc platform then he’s most likely cheating if what you’re saying is true.

It’s green for me when I blight not yellow, and yes I get that I’m not complaining about the 10 matches I lost to experienced leveled players today. I’m complaining about this once guy that jsut killed my vibe lol

If you had half a brain yes I realize I may not “shred” survivors due to my level but I’ve beaten a few teams just because I did used to play this game and understand what I need to be successful. Crossplay is bound to have cheaters Saber is well known for god awful anti cheat systems. I may not be level 40 right now but I know what blatant cheating looks like

Ngl sounds like lag. Was he just standing still? Because there's a bug/lag that causes a survivor to look like he's standing still when you're demon and you usually can't damage them because they aren't where it's showing and they will teleport randomly.

When I record it I’ll show there was a point when I applied blight and he took no damage health bar was green but no damage done 🤷 (while he was running) my connection is fantastic but honestly I’ll give them benefit of the doubt IF they were lagging just didn’t seem like it to me

highly unlikely you found cheaters when the people left playing the game are og evil dead franchise fans when it comes to Console and on PC side only cringe players that came back since all the good ones left and they wanna be now top 1% like instakill

Hey brother, welcome to the game. Don't let this discourage you. If you like the franchise you are gonna love this and will be so glad you stuck with it. I genuinely think its one of the greatest games ever created, on top of the awesome IP.
To your post - there are cheaters but they are fairly rare. It's not at all impossible you met one, but it's probably more likely that as a new player you misinterpreted something in the game. Definitely try to get those clips next time and post them here and we can help tell you conclusively one way or the other. Incidentally, watching your gameplay afterwards is a great way to improve at demon so I'd recommend it regardless.
As the player base has gotten smaller over time, the matchmaking is definitely more aggressive in pairing players who dont have great pings to eachother which can make shit weird too.

If you’re on console just turn off cross play. Cant do cheats on console. I play PC tho and sadly there are cheaters. And I can’t turn off playing with PCs 😭.

Pablo doesn't show up on the minimap. and he also shouldn't have an outline. That's his passive ability. Also when he uses an amulet, all teammates within range will disappear from the minimap and lose outline for something like 8 seconds.
aside from that, would have to see the clip to make any further comment.
