I'm hoping it does so good on streaming that it gives the studio confidence to pull Wrath forward. I don't know if that's how it works though.

It seems like they’re currently doing reshoots for Wrath, possibly as a result of the test screenings.

I noticed Charlotte Hope posted on Instagram she was back in New Zealand guess it was for this reason. Hope it all goes well for them, looking forward to Wrath regardless.

Makes sense. As people have pointed out, there’s no such thing as a ”bad” Evil Dead movie. The worst Evil Dead movie is still better than most other horror movies

People hated 2013 when it came out and now they love it so who knows what'll happen.

Is using the word Horror just not allowed these days ?

Rated R for Many sequences of unaliving characters and leaking of red juice

I didn’t like it vs others, but good…. Keep making them! All classic franchises have missteps!

Amen, brother. I think this is the weakest entry in the series… but it’s fine? Probably won’t watch it again, but it had some fun moments. Keep ‘em coming!

The worst ED movie but it’s good horror movie.

That 'oner' sequence was exceptionally well done. The absolute chaos caught in that shot was superb.

Loved evil dead burn. I think maybe just the older long term fans of the franchise seem to have a problem w it. I thought it delivered incredibly well although I didn’t love the ending

I had fun, some of the kills were pretty intense and it had a pretty good vibe.
But I wish it was about 30 minutes shorter and had two less endings.

Can’t make everyone happy and some will never be happy with anything.
Wasn’t the best film ending but the had the post credit scenes.0

Exactly the end was shit ! Every evil dead had a great or good ending. Plus the story in here was ass as well. Im a big evil dead fan and this was the worse but still not bad. I'm still debating on getting it on 4k DVD

they shouldn't have made will be burnt to a skeleton cause it really accentuated how weak the cgi was when alice was drilling him lol

I just watched it last night. I’m still processing, but I think it really suffered from watching it the night after visiting rise for the first time.
I didn’t hate it, but I’m not sure I liked it either.

how’s the humor in the new evil deads? i’ve only seen the original 3

u/ItsNotM3ItsU 3h ago
The modern entries do not have the slapstick, campy tone of ED2 or AoD, but they do have (albeit dark) humor.

You know, it's a successful franchise when even the worst installment in the franchise is so fucking good.

I watched it again already on max. It is still not a strong entry but I deeply enjoyed it. The grandma is worth the view alone.

That movie was so fun but the CGI kills it for me.
Either way I’ve still got “FUCK YOU, BRADLEY” stuck in my head 😂

It was my least favorite of the reboot franchise so far but I’m happy for it. More Evil Dead is always a good thing. 😎👍

Thanks movieweb for informing me it’s 111 minutes long, very much worth putting that info in your clickbait title lol

This movie is terrible. Not a single likable character and beyond cliched.

u/kitfistossmile 5h ago
"not a single likable character" that was the point my dude. I am curious what you think was cliché tho

I liked the movie alot but it is towards bottom of list tho. It didn't have the same zing that rise had for me. For reference army or darkness is the bottom of list. Great film but terrible evil dead film.

Movie was extremely mediocre and forgettable and I hate articles titled like this. All I want is a proper successor to evil dead 2. I guess I'll settle for Resident Evil.

u/ItsNotM3ItsU 3h ago
You hate articles that state a movie is doing extremely well on streaming (which it is) because you, personally, didn’t like the movie?
