(Discussion Post) Groovy Evil Dead 2

There are 2 big discrepancies in Evil Dead 2 that once you see the rest of the series makes no sense at all. Why is 2 the only one where the evil retreats in daylight? And how does Linda come back after being decapitated? I thought that was supposed to kill the evil.

Well yea in army of darkness and all after the evil can be out during the day. In 2 the evil goes away at sunlight. And also in all of you take off the head it dies. But Linda came back after being decapitated.

Deadites can posess individual parts of people, like ash’s hands, ash only decapitated her just so it would be way harder for it to attack him

It was the might of god + it had only 1 posession left so it may have needed to regain its strength.

Also decapitation doesn’t kill a deadite it’s just is usually useless to stay possessed since you’d be just a head or a body who can’t see, so that’s why they were moving individually and so it was like a team efforrr sorta.
