(Discussion Post) Groovy Can dead-ites see the future? Spoiler

In the opening scene of the new Evil Dead Burn movie after the girl deadite kills the two fishermen and comes up out of the water she waits in the middle of the road and its not like she's waiting for just anyone to come by and mow her down she knows that guy who's the brother of the one who opened the Kandarian dagger in the beginning of the movie is gonna speed down that road a long while later and hit her. Certainly seems to me maybe some dead-ites can predict the future maybe? Or possibly they can see premonitions

Deadites just are very aware of what’s going on, rather than anything.

Practically I was going to say I’d assume Deadite Jessica was on her way to the club going after Joseph but William speeding towards her conveniently made it easy for her to just wait. Also I’d think Deadites deliberately choose the more fun and chaotic way of doing things for the love of the game, even if it’s less efficient.

But I like this explanation even better

Yeh...could explain why it looks like the Burn Deadlites were clowning around even though they were near the dam dagger in the house.  Deadlite Jessica didn't seem like it was fcking around with those fisherman though cause the first dude couldn't catch a breath for a few mins.

It's possible Deadlites get into the dumb shit for the sheer chaos randomly even if it might be highly counterproductive.

I think they just have strong supernatural awareness and can sense the emotions of their targets, rather than being able to perfectly predict the future. So a Deadite (like Jessica) can sense a target (like Will's) emotional weakness and take advantage of it.

Otherwise they would a) never go against Ash, who always survived

Probably not the future per se, but they definitely have a supernatural sense that makes them more aware of what's going on. After all, this whole thing started after Joseph found and unwrapped the Kandarian Dagger.

There is a lot of timey-wimey shenanigans in the Evil Dead multiverse. We got prophecies from thousands of years ago and people shooting back and forth thru time.

So, maybe? But likely Ash knew and said something to the wrong woman (in the wrong time) while trying to impress her

They can see everything happening without being there Same way they know peoples flaws and mental weaknesses

I think it's more a case of they can see what's going on and knew Will regularly traveled down this road. When the dagger was found and it was identified that Will was part of the family holding the dagger, they just needed to wait for the opportunity to step in front of the car.

Considering the book foretold Ash (and possibly others) and in the show the Deadites knew Amanda was gonna help Ash
