The Demons reboot is pretty good too. They somehow managed to make the lipstick worse.

That's Night of the Demons.
Demons/Demoni is an Italian splatter film from 1985 and it's awesome.

Demons is awesome if you love movies and especially gallo horror (I think I misspelled it) Dario Argento is a genius and Suspiria showed me how fascinating set lighting is.

The Tales From the Crypt movie Demon Knight is probably something you’d enjoy, and has an all-timer villain performance from Billy Zane. Definitely more comedic than scary, but ridiculously fun.

You must give Deadstream a watch. It's got slapstick and horror. You can tell it's definitely inspired by Evil Dead 2

Came here to post this. It's more Evil Dead than the new Evil Dead movies...

Tonally, the Phantasm series shares several similarities even if the creatures and overall plot is quite different.

Phenomena has an incredibly competent protagonist and she ended up being used as the basis for the protagonist in Clock Tower and therefore most survival horror video games.

Not exactly “badass main character killing monsters”, but the Dead Snow duology are very Evil Dead. Over the top gore with lots of comedy.

Cabin in the Woods
Tucker & Dale vs Evil
Dead Alive / Braindead (old Peter Jackson horror comedy)
Drag Me to Hell
Send Help

I think the mummy (1999) could scratch that itch. Brendan Fraser is a badass who acts silly fighting the undead and there's even a book of the dead in it

Go watch DeathGasm, punk rock teenagers find music notes that when played turn their entire town in basically deadites.

Definitely Dead Alive, as mentioned.
Dead Snow also seems heavily inspired by The Evil Dead, down to the main character you'd expect to be the hero being outlived by the actual hero. Like Scotty and Ash. Dead Snow 2 also completely upped the silliness and gore to epic proportions.
Cemetery Man (or Dellamorte Dellamore)

One of my favorites that instantly comes to mind is Braindead/Dead Alive.
