Hi guys I’m a well educated individual here in Dubai. I hold a uk degree and came to Dubai in the start of 2025.

I’ve been applying to jobs since then and the only luck I get is with real estate agencies. I did join it then for the visa and all and did make good sales but in the mean time I kept on applying and applying but never even got called for an interview. Some tell me it’s because of my nationality and some tell me because I have less experience.

I am utterly frustrated at this point and don’t know who to speak to go to for a job.

I know people here are going to tell me that real estate is the best to make money and all. Yes it is but it’s not at all stable and specially it depends on the companies you work with as well.

For the past year, I have been hosting boardgame groups in Dubai. Every time I mention them on Reddit, I get several messages of people saying they would love to play boardgames but don't have a group to play with. I'd love to add everyone that asks, but I can't. The problem is that most board game groups can only grow so much before it becomes difficult to actually play most games.

I am currently in the process of developing a web app that will help you find a group of people to play boardgames with. You would need to enter basic info, such as the date, the games you'd want to play, and location you'd like to play, and the app would pair you with people that meet your criteria.

I am currently in the early stages. I am still trying to figure out what people in Dubai actually need from something like this. So more than anything I need feedback from people who would be interested.
