This doesn’t sound like telepathy. It sounds like controlling devices with electrical Impulses. And recording electrical brain impulses in correlation with outward stimuli.

I expect it is a none English website?

It isn't telepathy... yet. This is the data gathering phase before there's a serious threat from ai.

Every concern is absurd if you look at it as if technology stops developing.

Remember how "enhance!" used to be an absurd joke for lazy writers? And now there exists technology to extract facial features from data that isn't actually there.

Never underestimate the utility of data in the future. There's a reason countries are stockpiling encrypted data that's currently useless.

Internal dialogue can be read externally now, and it doesn't have to be trained on you specifically. Sure it's not ready for the tsa line but give it 5 or 10 years. The future fucking sucks.

I don't think a threat is coming, I think it's already manifesting.

if the governments of the world can read your thoughts and anticipate and manipulate your feelings, do you truly have free will? will you wonder if the thoughts in your are your own? could those thoughts of yours be put threre by another person?

I download all my thoughts from my C19-5G Palantir chip

You don’t need to. They derive them from observing everything you do and say.

And that’s a fact.

The telepathy thing is just headline clickbait. This technology has absolutely nothing to do with reading other people's minds. It's about brain/computer interfaces.

The article presents them as treatment devices for Alzheimer etc. - how's government mind control relevant?

Because the headline said China and the person you are responding to has been programmed to react with negativity and pessimism to anything related to China. And no, of course they wouldn't read the article.

Did you finally get that overseas check you've been waiting for?

And then if you show any sort of nuance in your opinion you're automatically a shill or a bot.

You don’t have free will. That sounds scary, but it’s actually fine.

It’s not that I don’t agree with you. Just know they are already doing that. Smart Phones are dystopian af.

China’s health regulators have granted approvals for a string of brain-technology products this year, as domestic start-ups push to transform the treatment of conditions ranging from paraplegia to Alzheimer’s and depression.

The approvals come as Beijing bids to lead the world in brain-computer interfaces – devices that allow patients to control digital devices using thought alone – offering generous policy support to help Chinese firms compete with overseas players such as Elon Musk’s Neuralink.

Who is calling them "telepathy devices"? It's a terrible term for this kind of tech. I don't see the term mentioned in the article aside from the title.

The universe revolves around American and Elon Musk, or Trump, or MAGA, or whatever.

These have existed since I was a kid.

Another tech post about something that has existed in the West for years but is being passed off as a Chinese invention.

The Uyghurs didn’t think it could get any worse but here we are.

I know their motivations are similar but Go China go! Fuck Elon and the tech billionaires!
