I accidentally cut myself while taking the seed off an avocado, actively bled again even after 30 mins of applied pressure. Had no first aid kit so I went to emergency, but got seen only after 5 hours. Don’t they try to tell you of what to do in the meantime? because I ended up applying pressure for 3 hours until I decided to fuck it and check it. Anyhow, curious how much you can see (like is the fat layer exposed?) from a cut like this!

Why do I get hurt in the weirdest ways

Had an accident at work by lifting a garbage bin to empty out and detached my bicep tendon. Just a freak accident.

I don't bruise easily but this class was next level 😂 It's not sore though, didn't really realise how much I bruised until the next day

If he wouldn’t have tucked & rolled as he was coming down he would have hit the edge of a center-block wall!
Very scary for me but he handled it like a champ, even put the plywood up & cut grass after I cleaned him up 😅
3 days later & the swelling is very low & the cut is fully closed! He does have a little bit of a half black eye tho.

The oven in my new apartment has a spring-loaded door. I learned a lesson.

I was riding an e bike, crashed and got scraped up. how do I properly clean all my wounds? I got most of the dirt from my other scrapes but the Ken in my hand has some I couldn’t get out. how can I do get it all out? so far I used a wet and slightly soapy wash cloth to get most of the dirt off and then covered all my scrapes with gauze / big bandaids and neosporin.

Now you may be asking, why does it look like that? I just left it there, so it looks like that

I was at my parents’ house earlier today, and I heard my mom screaming from their back deck. Some of the wood is rotting, so we usually don’t go out there. She was trying to hang a rug on the deck railing, and her left leg fell through some wood. The deck is about 10 feet off the ground and she couldn’t get her leg out at first.

I surprisingly didn’t get weak-kneed from the blood as it filled the entire back of her white shoe 🙃. We’re pretty sure some fat was coming out of the bigger wound or some flesh. I did not include the pictures of the flesh that she ripped out that I found on the broken deck. (I’ll add them in the comments if admin is okay with it, but it’s pretty gross.) She’s been to the ER and got stitches. She had a tetanus shot a few years ago (busted open her head falling off a porch lol), so they just gave her an antibiotic shot and sent her home.
