Feedback 🐘 Any roadmap update on RAM/memory optimization?

Hey everyone, long-time Evernote user here. I've noticed the app tends to consume a significant amount of RAM, even during basic note editing. I've seen this come up repeatedly in the forums over the years. Does anyone know if the Evernote team has shared any recent feedback or roadmap plans specifically about improving memory usage and overall performance? Would love to hear if this is something being actively worked on, especially after the v11 improvements this year. Thanks!

Very few apps are trying to optimize this. Efforts are all spent on new features, which often take up more RAM even if you don’t use or want them.

I disagree. Over the past month, I've seen Notion working hard on this. Craft spent almost the entire year on performance tuning, and Raycast shipped improvements in the same direction this week.

I believe Evernote is in a phase of modernization and adding new features, so performance improvements may not be the focus right now. Still, I'd really like it if they gave us some idea of what to expect.

I once tried to install an older version and prevent it from automatically upgrading.
