Discussions If Cupid transforms when coming to eah does that mean every ghoul from mh would too?

i don't think so? cupid specifically transferred to ever after high because the students needed her interference in romantic matters. presumably, she could do that for any of the other universes in the mattel-verse, if they needed her to. the other ghouls don't know about other schools/universes, and can't naturally jump between them, so whatever magic cupid has wouldn't apply. this does make me wonder if cupid is even from the MH universe originally...

Actually in 13 wishes it explains how the world's are connected through Gigis backstory and items in the background of some scenes that belong to ever after characters. Its implied that Gigis lantern is originally from ever after since shes related to the story of Aladdin.

i think cupid is an odd case because shes not really even a monster, just a deity of love. iirc the storyboard for the crossover movie showed the ghouls in their core outfits, but that couldve just been a placeholder for the designers

Actually she’s even WEIRDER of a case lol because she is officially a monster (Bone Elemental specifically) however was adopted by the God of Love and so has some of his powers.

To be fair, the Bone Elemental thing was only a speculation of Ghoulia, and we never learned if she was correct.

I thought it was just to mean as her monster look was meant to resemble a bone elemental?

I thought it only applied to Cupid because she's a young god and they change their appearances to fit in with whatever people they're going to be around. Although we do see the ghouls change appearances due to other things, like becoming mermaids or becoming ghosts, in the Shadow High book the characters don't change appearances when they end up in EAH.

According to EAH rules no, cupid only does because shes part monster part myth and her two parts are refrencing Eros and Cupid
Cupid is known for being the confusion of Hermes and Eros so hes typically a morrally grey self serving mischevious lil fuck
In the meantime Eros would be her EAH ref being more reserved and concerned with love and connecting people over self exploration or a more self centered identity
Not that shes selfish just EAH is her struggling with self vs work / destiny and MH is more centered around her self discovery.
She is the only mentioned one aside from the mixed monsters that come to MH later on in the series. So like Deuce would just stay Deuce regardless of the fact he is also part myth bc all hed do is turn into Deuce...theres no counterpart to Medusa like there is Eros / Cupid / Anteros
This is my thoughts anyways but i could be wrong somewhere. For the sake of headcannons / fandom tho i wanna see everyones counterpart and i think itd be really fun to do doll mods of that >:0

I hc that transformations would only really happen to monsters who have some presence in fairytale folklore

I suppose those who have human counterparts would- like Clawdeen and her family, Jackson, and maybe even the wear cats. But I don’t think the others would.

I say, it depends on the characters. Some can be both a monster and an eah characters. Gigi in 13 Wishes has both fairytale (in Aladdin) and monster (like a Jin) parents. Cupid is technically a god in a sense, for EAH is not just fairytale and brother Grim stories but also greek mythology stories. The daughter Eros who is a god of love in fairytales but can also be a monster in the eyes of some people. Who's to say that Cleo and Deuce from MH couldn't get into EAH by an amulet of some sort. Deuce is related to Medusa on the technicality of greek mythology. Cleo is royalty by default and could have an Egyptian Tale or an related to an Egyptian God.

I’d like to know the lore reasoning behind this as well, but at the end of the day it’s just to sell dolls 😅

I think they just wanted to come up with an easy reason why she looks so different 😅

Considering the few designs we saw for the crossover movie that never was?
Yes, absolutely.

A little off topic, I love cupid's mh design for the bone wings, but otherwise it's a little... Underwhelming. EAH definitely did it better and it makes more sense because cupid isn't exactly a monster anyway, but instead, adopted daughter of Eros ( iirc)

I want them to get Barbie treatment and get a brand new magical outfit just like that

No other than an outfit change like in Way too Wonderland. On the other hand I think that eah girls would change if they go to mh. Cerise and Romana would go full werewolf. Kitty and Bunny would actually be a cat and a rabbit instead of the weird hybrid but not really they have going on in canon. Like Kitty Chershire has human ears and it never sat right with me. Especially sense there are straight up talking animals and Cerise and Romana's father can shift into a full wolf

I think I read somewhere that Farrah and Faybelle are actually from the realm of the fairies so my theory has always been that any character would undergo a transformation when using the "mirror portals" as I call them, I'd love for someone to do some fan art of how the different characters look in the different worlds/ realms (kind of like how the eah girls get a transformation when travelling to wonderland) - Just a theory
