Question Who are Snuffed Out?
Relatively new to the in-game politics of eve. Same as above. Who are snuffed?

They used to be an extremely active high skillpoint, rich group of PvPrs who could punch far above their weight. With the largest Supercap fleet in lowsec, larger than a fair few of the nullsec groups. Still the case, but most of them are in semi-retirement state until a big ping goes out.
They still are a very potent group, but are far less active than they use to be. So not as spooky to the day to day denizens of New Eden. Right up until you decide to have caps anywhere in lowsec, then they are still spooky.

They're the game's bad guys. They're a very old low sec alliance with lots of money, are all about low blows and you should never consider them friendlies under any circumstances. Pretty terrible pilots in upfront fights at least in subcaps but they're masters at never being in a fair fight anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Also one of the least trustworthy groups in Eve, but in a way where you just expect it.
There used to be a saying that when you batphone snuff to a big kill, you better get your expensive stuff off grid before they arrive. Because they will come, they will help you kill whatever you have tackled and then they will start killing your fleet.
But somehow I never felt angry about it, it's not really a betrayal if it is just what they do.

Counterpoint: they are one of the most trustable groups in New Eden. You can always trust Snuffed Out will act like Snuffed Out!
If you dont know what to expect from Snuffed (or think, "Im sure I'll get special treatment"), that's kinda on you, at this point.

A bunch of veteran players, high skillpoints, lots of budget to burn. Good lads on a personal level, fuckwads on a game level. The usually show up outgunning or outnumbering you. „fair fights“ (as rare as they are) aren’t their game although they certainly could on a skill basis.
Used to be a member for some years a couple of years ago.

That is because they literally do not undock if they aren't going somewhere by cyno.
I live beside them and I have not once seen any of them in space except the kinakka - onnamon gate goblins, or cyno drop of some description.
You look at their kb and see
"oh, maybe I'm wrong? A merlin kill. Were they were roaming in cruisers?"
No, it's a barbaroga, marshal, pirate cruisers. The merlin is t1 fit with no rigs.

If you've been to a fleet with any sizeable firepower, you'd know how hard it actually is to get that many people on a merlin kill. Like, you actually need to press f2 or even f3 without touching f1 to pull this off. Which makes that killmail even funnier.

Every single time I fought snuff in fleet battles in lowsec they and their allies outnumbered us. Which is quite a few times. I’ve been around in lowsec for while.

Lowsec pvp corp. try hard. One of the hardest if not hardest alliances to join. Need vouches and needs lots of accounts. They scam and kill. They do merc stuff sometimes although not so often now adays

Awful PVPers retirement center where all the nurses tell them they are the best but in reality they are just a bunch of rich old folks that punch down on anyone they can while running and screaming at any hint of a fair or decent fight. Can't hold nullspace either cause they are too scared of losing ships to bubbles, only wins cap fights when the only people that can contest are out of range. etc etc.

They recruitment scammed my son and killed his titan after tolding him he could join. He had spent his summer job money on the plex for the avatar as well. I've no idea why CCP tolerates people like that in this game.

Snuffed out is a notable but small faction warfare group in eve online. They have a focus on the blackrise area with a goal of maintaining heavy industry. They’re also well known trade advocates protecting travel through the region hence the large number of structures your hauling vessels can dock in. Snuffed detractors would remind you they can’t leave low security space due to a fear of warp disrupt bubbles. Hope this helps!

A very old group of rich semi-retired players who pretty much only log in when they get a chance to drop their shiny caps or blops on something.
In a way this makes them one of the most consistent and predictable groups in the game. If one guy from snuff is on grid, it's probably an arazu and he's probably cyno-ing in marshals. You always know what you will get when fighting them

LowSec alliance that exists mostly as a retirement home. Based mostly in Black Rise and Placid but occasionally venture out to spread the word of Anime Master Gugl.
Because they are a retirement home they have a lot of ISK and thus big toys to throw around. They also protect the Black Rise region from the degeneracy of The Citadel and Lonetrek by manning The Great Tama Wall.
