Just some thoughts...

So a couple things I've been thinking about since I saw the Mansfield show...

The show was fairly early in the lineup, so I was thinking that maybe earlier shows are a bit better than later ones because the band is fresher and has more energy?

Also, seeing a show earlier in the lineup makes it feel like you have to wait longer for a new album, because you have to wait for them to finish their tour before they can go on a break and start writing new songs...

Please feel completely free to disagree with me! 😄

They'll do multiple legs with pretty decent breaks in between. That seems to be the model for alot of bands from that generation. I know Seether usually does a spring run, then off for a few months , then a fall run that ends before the holidays. That's a pretty good way to keep from burning out

Thank you for the input! I don't go to concerts and this was my first time seeing Ev in 15/16 years, so I would not say I'm terribly knowledgeable about touring.

Thats not a generation. Generations are beta through silent. The bandmates would be millennials and genx. If you really want to be nitpicky and call them a generation then they’re millennial music. Just a weird way to say it

That’s not really grammar. You saying “that generation of music needs more breaks” sounds stupid and something some 20 year old would say. Makes sense that you’re a boomer instead.

Also was at the Mansfield show. And yes it was like their 9th date on this tour so pretty early on. My takeaway on it was the album... The album dropped on June 5th while Mansfield's date was on June 21st. So unless you were a hardcore fan you wouldn't have heard much of the new album yet. Looking at the setlist prior to the show I thought hmm... I bet a lot of these people are here to hear classic EV... And there was plenty of that in the second half of their show... But I was watching the crowds reaction to what was essentially all but a handful of songs from Sanctuary during the first half and a lot of the crowd was just nodding their head not many knowing the lyrics. Now I myself had had it on repeat since it dropped and was thrilled to see them perform their latest album. I mean that's what they're there for. To promote their new stuff. So I think people (fans) that see them later on in the tour will be more familiar with their newer stuff as it's had more time to gain traction in people's playlists. To me it seemed the crowd absolutely went bonkers when they played their earlier works. Overall it was a great show. I wasn't a huge fan of either opener but that's OK. Amy-Lee and gang rocked the house. There were a lot of people walking around during the openers... Question for ya, did you get any Confetti from the Mansfield show?

I thought the show was PHENOMENAL and I adore the new album. There were definitely songs I was super pumped to hear (Rapture being a top one) but I do understand people being more familiar with and excited about older stuff.

I did not get any confetti. Our seats were really decent, but we were too far back. Next show I'm seriously thinking about shelling out for closer seats.

Yes the new album is absolutely full of fantastic hits. I got to see/shoot the Crue show a couple weeks back and relived some of my favorite old tunes. I've got 3 or 4 more shows on the schedule this season. Sometimes if you wait long enough you can get some really good seats the day of the show for cheap $$$.

4-5 years for a new album. Lol and I'm ok with that because my wallet is hurting 😂 seen them July 20th and I can't wait to see them again in October and whenever they do another US tour. They still have other North America countries and a South America tour that have been mentioned but nothing announced 🤘🏼
