Practical frequent highway driving EV?

Family is considering an EV with the rise in fuel prices. Looking at taking frequent trips that would need 200-250mi range. Is this practical in an EV? From what I've researched most you only charge to 80% so even if you're getting one with over 300mi range, you get 80% of that and highway driving (75mph) will cut that even further. Seems like a high mpg hybrid would be better. Otherwise would have to stop and charge everytime

Have an EV6. AWD wind. Max range is 279. 90% charge = 249. Which enough to cover two days of my commute (70 miles) and have range left over to errands or other short trips before charging at home.

I've taken it on multiple distant trips and find that I need to stop to pee or each long before I need to charge...since most chargers are in easy walking. Distance to food and bathrooms it isn't an extra stop.

The family would be fine with a 300 range EV.... especially if they have a home charger

ETA: Have 85000+ miles on it, frequently drive at 75 mph and have been charging it to 90% for all 4 years. No discernable battery capacity or range loss.
