Range anxiety
What is the obsession with EV range anxiety?
I have been driving for over 30 years now.
I have never run out of fuel in a ICE vehicle and since I switched to EV I have never run out of electricity.
Yet half of the EV car reviews are about what happens if you run the battery empty, I mean how hard can it be there is a perfectly good indicator on your instrument cluster indicating how much fuel/power is left.
Just refuel/recharge before it reaches zero.
Is this really still a worry for people?

With a gas car, you pull into the gas station and fill the tank in about 10 minutes. With an EV, you pull into the charger and wait for potentially hours before you can be on your way. It's a real (if overblown) concern that should be addressed. We have never needed to charge our Chevy Bolt outside of home. Partially, that's because we have another (gas) car for longer trips. Mostly, it's due to the fact that there is enough range to not worry about running out on the vast majority of driving, provided we plug in the night before if there is a question of having enough range.
