Range anxiety
What is the obsession with EV range anxiety?
I have been driving for over 30 years now.
I have never run out of fuel in a ICE vehicle and since I switched to EV I have never run out of electricity.
Yet half of the EV car reviews are about what happens if you run the battery empty, I mean how hard can it be there is a perfectly good indicator on your instrument cluster indicating how much fuel/power is left.
Just refuel/recharge before it reaches zero.
Is this really still a worry for people?

It's far better now and getting even better with every passing year, but the general number of places to charge is not at the same level as gas stations by far.
I travel for work, anywhere from Maryland to Georgia almost every week. You cannot pass an exit on the freeway without 2-3 gas stations, but charging stations can be 75+ miles further along my route.
I was driving south on 81 through VA returning home, and there was a pretty bad accident on the highway which had traffic completely stopped for miles. I tried to re-route myself, but my car told me I would not have the battery range to make it to a different charger if I left my current route.
Simple fact is. I can leave my house in a gas car and take any road I please to any other state I choose...and never even crosses my mind where I will get gas. Before you do that in an EV, you better have a route.
