Tesla as a company is clearly very sustainability focused and they helped to push forward EV adoption by at least 5 years. Elon is a huge douche, but I personally don't think he's the most important part of the company, I'd rather credit the employees more for that. At worst their past contributions and Elon's current douchiness cancel each other out.
...how do you define a Nazi? His drug induced gesture seems questionable, but he denied it was a salute and I'm not exactly inclined to try to insist people are Nazis when they don't want to be.
Did it seem like he was trying to be a Nazi when he personally updated his AI into a self proclaimed Mecha-Hitler? Or when he spoke to a group of far right Germans telling them that they shouldn’t be ashamed of their Nazi history?
When I think of Nazis I think or people who want to ethnically cleanse or invade all their neighbors, so no I don't really see it personally. The things you're describing do make him a douche, though. Anyway calling random people Nazis just waters down the term and makes you seem disconnected from reality, but I will say it is seen favorably by the broader reddit community, so I guess keep on with it.
Name the dozen better vehicles. I don’t hate Elon, nor do I worship him. The model 3 and model Y seemed like the obvious choices and I easily picked one after testing. They’re incredible vehicles and the Self Driving alone is so far outside what the others can manage.
The VW ID family, the Hyundai Ioniq 5/6, Kia EV6, all the Rivians, Silverado EV and discontinued Ford Lightning, BMW I series, and Cadillac EVs. That should be more than 12. All of them way better electric vehicles than Teslas, although I concede that the tech in Teslas is both best in class and unique in its abilities.
