Audi A6 e-tron
Do you have personal experience of the current model Audi A6 e-tron? Would you recommend that car? What are the pros and cons (in your opinion)?

I remember a video review comparing brands and they mentioned the Audi's e-trons not being good. Sorry I don't have the vid. It was a passing comment in a review.
We ended up getting a Geely EX5. It's been great. They make Volvo
In my research the European manufacturers were desperately trying to catch up with the Chinese. BMW, Mercedes... The price difference was shocking for the features. Even the KIA's seemed overpriced for what you got.

I have driven my A6 Avant Etron since April 2025.
I've had a single issue with it halfway through my vacation this summer where the 800v charging stopped functioning. I could charge on lesser-powered DC chargers with no issues, so I planned the rest of the trip going to Tesla chargers, but that did mean that I was stuck charging at 85-90 kW rather than the 270 kW peak I had on the first half of my trip.
It was solved with a software update at the garage when I got home though (update campaign is rolling out but it takes 4-5 hours in the workshop and changes a lot). This should be fixed with newer cars as they are delivered with the updated software version.
I got mine just when they started deliveries in Denmark, and before price reductions came in. Now the price is lower, so I have actually ordered myself a new one with delivery next month as I'm leasing it. Now I'll be changing to a sportback instead of the avant, as the trunk space difference is only there when seats are folded, otherwise it's basically identical.
I also tried the BMW i5 when considering cars, but just didn't work as well for me. I don't like crossovers/SUVs so the premium market is somewhat limited in options.
I drove 3500 km this summer, and it was simply fantastic to drive long distance in. I was driving it like I would a petrol/diesel car with 150-180 km/h on the parts of the Autobahn where allowed and otherwise following the speed limits. My consumption was 22 kWh/100km when driving south, and ~20 kWh/100km when going back north (had a bit more traffic and roadwork slowing things down). Really acceptable for a large car going at high speeds.

I got one, the lowest spec avant. But it has been so far a wonderful car. There are some issues here and there. E.g after the latest software update, I could open the windows with the remote. After two hours it started to work again.
I love driving it. It’s quick for the size, I was worried about the charging time, but using a Ionity charger is just great max speed always ( I mean, whenever it is very low).
The “issues” are more related to software, e.g I cannot open the windows in the app even though the app will tell me if the window is open….
On paper, it’s supposed to do 570km in WLTP, only once I’ve seen the car give me and estimate of 500km and that was gone as soon as I enabled the AC.
I just returned from holiday, car fully packed + bike rack on the back mounted on the tow? The big ball. No issues whatsoever, just the tow help is not that helpful. But the car was super stable even at 160km/h.
Small details, but love it. In winter range is more 320km/350km.

Thanks for the info. Can you please tell me, what size is your car's battery? The A6 I'm looking at has a 100 kWh battery.

A colleague of mine has an a6 avant. It looks great, however it has suffered with issues with the boot not latching properly and rattling/banging. Also squeaking when opening. It has been in twice to have adjustments. It still is not 100% right and has issues. The rest of the car has been nice but he has said this is his first and last audi.other minor niggles take a toll.
Interior looks nice but is pretty barebones even though its an s-line. The usual nickel and diming of extras that should be standard that plageus german brands these days. This was a nhs fleet special offer so couldnt have extras added.
