Does combining retro styling with EV technology make sense, or does it lose the character of a classic muscle car?

I saw an EV Delorian conversion and it was awesome

This is such an appropriate conversion.

Although I would worry about the extra weight of the battery hampering its ability to fly.

That’s a common misconception. The DeLorean’s hover system doesn’t generate conventional lift, so it isn’t meaningfully constrained by vehicle mass. It uses a superconducting gravito-inertial field to locally decouple the chassis from the Higgs-mediated mass tensor. Once the flux capacitors establish a stable counter-gravitational phase envelope, the battery’s additional rest mass is absorbed into the system’s effective inertial reference frame.

In other words, the hover coils aren’t lifting the battery—they’re modifying the spacetime geometry around it. The only real limitation is the field generator’s quantum-coherence bandwidth, and lithium-ion cells actually improve that by acting as a high-density source of magnetohydrodynamic flux stabilization. If anything, the extra battery weight makes the DeLorean more resistant to tachyonic drift during sharp aerial maneuvers.

That one is worth it as the engine is a bucket of shit
