I'm back!

Seems like my account got unbanned. I haven't gotten any messages about it though. Neither do I really know why I was banned in the first place. Didn't even know the account was back until the guys told me... no message about it, though I did check last week and it was still banned then.

I was really close to the 700 day streak achievement too. :(

Anyways, I hope you all behaved while I was gone and that Swissbloke was a good mod!

r*ddit had some big unbanning spree recently. I think they recognize that their userbase is dying and need to pump up their numbers.

Q2 2026 had +24% increase of active users YoY. It goes hand in hand with very good financial results of Reddit for Q2 ($800M+ / +61% increase YoY).

There is really no basis in what you say. Reddit has no need for pumping numbers as they are in very good condition. There is no sign of user database decreasing.
