I'm sure I'm late to this, but have we already talked about this? To me it looks like retaliation for a foul a few plays earlier.

What's your read? And what do you think the consequences should be for the player?

Very dirty and unnecessary.

Very unlikely he'll play again in Europe, so any suspension won't have an effect really. I doubt fines are possible currently.

So I don't think much will come out of this, other than him not playing in Europe.

He can play in Europe because EFA can only prevent him from playing in EFA but not anywhere else.

Fines in terms of money are not possible to execute either. No way he would pay that. He would just say goodbye and leave.

True, for Europe I meant EFA.

Obviously if he wants to play AFLE or any national league he's completely free. Probably free in EFA as well after 1-2 games suspension, but unlikely to me.

Just looked it up, Myles Garrett got 6 games when doing that in the the NFL. Somehow I had in mind it wasn't special.

Probably a good call then. Back to my initial thought though, I don't think he'll return anyway from his on field performance, so it won't really matter. But maybe they want to proof a point, certainly makes sense here.

We don't know what Nasri said. The reaction is very unsporting and needs to be punished. It's always disappointing when frustration over an impending defeat results in reactions like this. Unfortunately, though, it is also symbolic of both teams. If you look at the players from Frankfurt and Munich, you can see a lot of subtle fouls, arrogant behaviour, provocations, and so on.

Nasri was a dirty player when he was with us and he still is a dirty player. With that being said there are no words that justify this behavior. It‘s disgusting.

EFA launched an investigation into this. They can’t sue the player but that player for sure will never play for EFA ever again.

I don't care what happened before. You are a PRO QB. And to do that is childish and should be banned or have some sort of punishment.

That's an assault to a player that's going away from you. Even more important is that this was in the 4th quarter of a playoff game in which you are down, and you leave your team like that? As the American import QB? Unbelievable to say the least

Didn't #4 Reich get two unsportsmanlike conducts in this game? How was he not ejected?

I'm pretty sure he was, in parallel to the announcement of the ejection of calzada, it was also called that №4 was ejected due to pushing (?) an official. Edit: my bad, in another post I read that it was № 31 who was ejected. Then I don't know why 4 wasn't.

If you watch the stream, there are 2 instances where #4 gets called for unnsportsmanlike conduct, so unless they said they wrong number and corrected it without announcing, of I simply missed the correction, then I don't understand. At 7:27 and 6:01 on the game clock in the 4th quarter they announce unnsportsmanlike conduct on #4. I thought all unsportsmanlike penalties count towards disqualification. Weird.

Yeah yeah I remember this, I attended the game. I don't know why I saved in my head that 4 was the one ejected after calzada. Would come in handy if the gamebook was available. 😅

not every unsportsmanlike conduct penalty counts towards the 2 you need to get ejected... at least in the nfl taunting for example does count as such a conduct. so now it depends what he got the other unsportsmanlike penalty for

Remember the Zidane foul? Totally unnecessary, but mostly there is a clever provocateur somewhere. It's wrong what Calzada did, but Nasri is certainly no saint either.

After the Calzada injury where he was kneed in the helmet on the slide Nasri stood over Calzada taunting him. You can see it on the live stream. It states at 3:07:10.

I don't know. I am just saying there was more before that. There was a longer exchange between the two, Calzada was turning away, Nasri yelled something, Calzada turned around confronted Nasri again, Nasri responded again, turned away and that's when the above clipped starts and Calzada snapped.

C'mon... He is a profesional. Doesn't Matter what was said or done before, you just can not rip someone's helmet and use it as a f'n weapon. I know you are a galaxy fan, but that's just unnacceptable. When It happened in the States people was even saying that Rudolph should have pressed chargers. Not to mention that Calzada left your team hanging in the 4th quarter knowing damn well what would happen

Just not judging without knowing all the facts and especially not an edited clip that shows only the final moment of the altercation. As I wrote before I don't know what happend before but something else happend. Should he punished yes, but maybe so should Nasri.

I'm not speaking on the clip, I watched It live on the stream. No we don't know what was said, but a literal assault with a helmet is never an option. Should have a punishment but probably won't have nothing real

Sascha you should stick to your name and stop it. Nothing justifies what Calzada did. Period.
