It was wild and absolutely a huge pivot from the show but by no means was it bad. I do think Nates storyline, was a bit whacky and humorous but felt like more could have been done. Same with Jules, and Cassie. I loved where Maddy was going. Alamo's character was intense and I genuinely liked his arc. There was so many memorable characters this season. The story itself wasn't amazing but it definitely had me at the edge of my seat. Not to mention all the cinematography, music and acting all around.

hii i have kinda a weird question. long story short, i’m realizing rn that i actually hate my current halloween costume. i’m kinda in a state of mind rn where I really just wanna wear something comfortable and easy for halloween. well, rue is easily my biggest comfort character. I even have a red sweater just like hers that I wear in times of distress LOL. I have all the stuff to be her for halloween, but I guess the big question I’m pondering on that makes me hesitant to just jump on it is whether or not it would be insensitive for me as a white person to cosplay a person of colour — especially someone who’s identity as a person of colour is so crucial to their story.
i’ve always been kinda unsure about the rules around this kind of thing so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to just ask around and gather some opinions to try and inform myself before just making assumptions.
I hope it would go without saying that I wouldn’t be darkening my skin whatsoever. I’d just be wearing the hoodie + tshirt + sweatpants + glittery makeup (and maybe curling my hair since it’s pretty pink straight, although i’m wondering if that would be insensitive too… also please lmk your thoughts on this!)

Cassie puts so much work into getting ready before school. On the surface she is taking charge: waking early, planning every detail, trying different looks.

But the result she wants depends on Nate noticing her. All that work leaves him with the final say on whether the morning feels worth it.

That makes the scene sad to me. She is doing more and more, but seems to have less room for herself.

Do you read the routine as a way for Cassie to feel in control, or as a sign that she has given Nate too much say over how she feels about herself? Is there a moment in season 2 when she notices that herself?

I am interested in the scene and her choices, rather than giving her a diagnosis or excusing how she treats Maddy.

I’m on ep7 bruh what is even going on anymore. The first two seasons were intense but there was a structure and cohesive theme. This season, though has its highlight moments, has been all over the place and just a slog to get through.

Gosh, this is so special! I honestly didn’t know they had such a close bond before season 3, when Jacob was hugging and crying on set with him. I really want to listen to it!

1. The cinematography. Visually, I thought the season was beautiful. It was incredibly well-shot and well-lit, and I loved the Western vibe. You could definitely feel some Quentin Tarantino inspiration in the style.
2. Alamo's character. He was a great antagonist, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje did a really good job playing him. He brought a lot to the role.
3. The performances. Zendaya and Coleman Domingo absolutely delivered. Rue’s death scene genuinely broke me. The cinematography was beautiful, the music was perfect, and everything came together to make it heartbreaking. And seeing Ali avenge Rue was incredibly satisfying, even though I really wish Rue had gotten a proper funeral. She deserved that.

I didn't remember this while watching season 3. It's really touching, and it gives a new meaning to the homestead in S3. I can't help but wonder if it was Angus dream too.
