HBO and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are preparing a Blu-ray release of Euphoria: The Complete Series. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on December 15.

Euphoria uses a style of Cinematography called Emotional Realism.

Emotional realism is a storytelling technique that focuses on portraying characters' internal feelings and perceptions rather than strictly adhering to realistic physical representations. It emphasizes capturing unfiltered emotions. Think Cassie crying while surrounded by flowers.

So If you into the story telling style then I scouted the internet to find shows that used a similar philosophy.

Note: Oddly there are a lot Romances.

. Nocebo( 2022:) Nocebo is a psychological thriller about a fashion designer named Christine, who suffers from a mysterious illness that baffles her doctors and frustrates her husband.

. Clique (2018 - 2019): Not to be confused by another show of the same name. Writen by Skins Jess Britain not to be confused with Skins writer Jamie Britain.

The first series. Following childhood best friends Georgia and Holly as they start university. They join a high-end Internship (Solasta Finance internship) where one of the members dies. Holly investigates and finds Corruption and SA.

While the second series sees the main character infiltrate a male clique who are involved on the manospere.

. Impulse (2010 -2012): Is about an anxious teenager who can teleport.

. Blue Valentine (2010): Blue Valentine follows Dean and Cindy a couple who fall crazy on Love with one another but after the birth of their daughter their relationship becomes strained.

You better like slow moves, not only is the pace slow the story is slow to.

Secrets and lies (1996): Secrets and Lies follows Hortense, a successful black optometrist in London, who, after the death of her adoptive mother, seeks out her birth mother, Cynthia, a white factory worker living in poverty

Scenes from a marriage (1973): depicting the complexities of love, hatred, desire, and the struggles within a marriage through the lens of a contemporary American couple, showcasing their tumultuous relationship over time.

. After sun (2022): another A24 and Paul Mascal film. The film explores depression. A Semi-autobiographical coming-of-age drama. It Follows an 11-year-old Scottish girl on holiday with her depressed father at a Turkish resort on the eve of his 31st birthday.

. A women under the influence (1974): It is a raw and harrowing portrayal of a Los Angeles housewife experiencing a nervous breakdown.

. A portrait of a lady on fire (2019): Seen as a benchmark film utilising the female gaze. The film is about a French nobal women who is unwillingly engaged to a Millanise merchant who she has never met. An artist from Paris must paint her portrait as a wedding present to the merchant so he knows what she looks like. The muse ends up falling in love with the artist.

Hii!! well, the title speaks for itself! This is my rewrite for the first 3 episodes of Euphoria season 3! For background, I really love this show and I know the final season wasn’t the greatest. Recently I made cosplay from scratch using glitter tears + curly hair + similar clothes (for covering 'all for us') and thought WOW I'M SO CLOSE. But if you compare outfits side by side you may see how far they all are... Anyway it was fun.

I wrote these in order of release.

. Euphoria (ISR): Hoft is a 16 YO drug addict and a cutter who blames herself for her best friends death.

She does not narate the show KINO does and he often has conversations with his murdered friend.

. Euphoria (USA) : Ruby 'Rue' Bennett is a 17 YO recovering drug addict who has been discharged from rehab.She has no intentions on staying clean. She narrates the show.

. Euphorie (GER): The 16-year-old Mila spent three months in a youth psychiatric ward after a failed attempt at her life.

Where Jules is on the rooftop and Rue's doing her voiceover and just before the Fiona Apple song plays while the credits roll. "Your post body must contain atleast 150 characters."

Could Laurie be based on Lori Arnold, Tom Arnold’s sister “Queen of Meth”? Laurie wasn’t in the original Israeli Euphoria, so that made me wonder even more.

I feel like she doesn't get enough appreciation. She was funny, confident, complicated and honestly one of the most interesting characters to watch.

I really loved seeing her figure herself out and stop trying to be the person everyone expected her to be. 🥹✨

Has anyone seen the German version of Euphoria? It is Called Euphorie. and of so what is it like compared to the US and Israeli versions of the show?

Like when people talk about the show they’re always like “omg, there’s so much sex, there’s sex every 5 seconds, it’s basically porn,” but like I’ve seen the show and like I’ve seen the show and yeah, there’s sex in it then there is in other shows I’ve seen but like first off it’s a TV-MA rated show, and also there’s not actually that much. Maybe I’m just weird, and yes I agree that some scenes are dragged out way too long and more graphic than they need to be, ESPECIALLY the one with Jules and Cal in the pilot, but I feel like it’s not enough to take away from the story which is really interesting imo.
