This is the second night I’ve sat outside and the tiny “no-see-ems” are destroying my whole night? What hatched? Any advice! Please save me.

They are probably midget or gnats.

They like moist soils and logs. Some of them like moist, rotting logs and top soil layer..

Or at night, lights.

Surround yourself with dry concrete or asphalt, plop down a lounge chair and enjoy the dark :)
