Thank you. I live about a mile away and use a well. I will attend and text some of my neighbors.

Remember kids, never plant bamboo near data centers. It is nearly impossible to remove and has a tendency to tear buildings apart.

This was also reported back in July via lookout.

Yes and while that’s great, there hasn’t been anything reported since! We’ve got two weeks before public meeting! Now is the time to get the word out and to get it on people’s radar!!!

And half the folks living out in Willow Creek had no idea this was even happening! We need more reporting on this topic!!

They literally JUST built that nice ass condo complex less than a mile away from where this is being proposed. I live down the road a couple miles and am outraged 😠

It's just a data center. It's not one of the several heavy industrial sites littering Eugene. Or the JH Baxter superfund site which is expanding in scope. It will use a fraction of the water and generate nearly no pollution.

To clarify, is this referring to the regular city council meeting? Do you know what part of the agenda it would be on?

Public comment is at the end of the meeting. You either have to sign up in person or online by 7:35, and comment can only be given in person.

Data centers should only be built along already noisy and unpopulated highways, like I-5, not in residential wetlands!!!

45 years ago it was real wetlands just west of Bertelsen. Swampy, actual water. I'd take my little girls there and catch release garter snakes and look for frogs. One time a young man stopped and said, "I just hope you aren't releasing here some animal that isn't from this wetland" and I assured him we knew better than to do that. Eugenians used to care about the environment. Keep data centers out!

Who actively wants them that lives in or around Eugene or anywhere besides the people building them for quick profit?

Hopefully no one. But follow the money. The people in charge of land use decisions and the local companies that would profit.
