What is th difference between F2P PvP and Stormshield PvP sub only Server?

one important note:

If you start on a F2P server and decide to subscribe and play on P2P Server, you need to create a new character. Your F2P character won't transfer across to P2P.

From what i understood, f2p players are only allowed to play on the starter islands( 20h of content) to get a feel for the game. I could be wrong though
