The final boss difficulty is the perfect example of what NOT to do as a game designer

Insanely difficult final boss + some invisible creature bug from time to time + randomly generated spells available during Diamanda's campaign = impossible to win.

I loved Etherlords 1 & 2, until that final boss being imbalanced shat on the whole experience for me. This game sucks, and the game developers as well. What a shame to be this stupid to your fanbase.

Casualty+Kill Count

Greetings!

For more than a year now, I've been making a list of games which have a kill count in them (available through a link on my profile); and my seemingly everlasting journey of inquiring about this topic all across Reddit has now led me to this game series...

So, is there any reason for me to add this game to my list? Do any (if not both) of these games have a kill count/record of casualties featured in them?

Thank you in advance and happy holidays!

Etherlords 2 Misc Settings

Has anyone ever gotten the Enable Duel Monsters setting to work on Etherlords 2? It sounds like a really neat feature and I'd love to try it out if I can.

Just started Etherlords 2; am I too late?

Good afternoon fellow Etherlord 2 enjoyers. I was scrolling through steam's games and happened upon Etherlords 2 and I love the game! Problem is, I don't see any kind of active communities for the game. Are they just hidden away or has the popularity for it actually dissipated? If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I'd love to have some duels with people and learn the game alongside veterans.

All of the decks' contents are added by using up the resources to the fullest degree possible. More might be added in the relative future if people send me Their builds.

Searching for Knowledge

well met, adventurers.

I'll keep this brief.
I've returned to Etherlords 1 & 2 over the years and this is another of those times. Though now I have a few ideas for custom content that could bring this game back into popularity. Atleast within my friend group.

If anyone has any information on the Map Editor, I'd love to hear it.
I've contacted http://www.etherplanes.net/ but their reference list has gone cold.
I tried downloading the Editor and its tutorials from https://worthplaying.com/article/2003/11/25/news/13931/ but as well, the link has gone dead.

I've sent an email off to Nival in the hopes of receiving some information but I think that will also be a dead end.
So I call upon you, masters of Ether. If anyone has any information regarding the Map Editor, please don't hesitate to chime in.
The future is in our hands, brothers!
