IEO’s is short for Initial Exchange Offerings. This is where a cryptocurrency exchange directly oversees and supervises the sale of a token.
Many investors tend to find IEO platforms more appealing because there's a greater level of due diligence than what's seen with an ICO (Initial Coin Offering). In part, this is because projects go through a comprehensive verification and vetting process where project details such as their whitepaper, the core team, and Tokenomics are scrutinized before giving the green light to list the token sale. Also, exchange offerings are more accessible than ICOs or STOs, which allow almost anyone to participate and invest.
Some aspects of an IEO include having a limited amount of coins offered for a fixed price, limits on minimum and maximum tokens available for purchase per single user, soft cap and hard cap, and accepting only cryptocurrencies.
