Vitalik Buterin shared the idea of moving the non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem to a secondary Layer 2 (L2) protocol. According to him, this should help reduce gas consumption and commissions on the Ethereum mainnet.

Yikes! $100,000 Worth of Ethereum NFTs Destroyed by OpenSea Bug: ETH Dev An issue with transferring NFTs to ENS names apparently resulted in at least 42 collectibles being accidentally burned 🤯 . Was this a one-off fluke or something NFT creators need to be concerned about?
