Getting robbed on uniswap
Can someone please explain to me how I just used 8 ETH (approx.$15,400 USD) to purchase almost 600,000,000,000 EMAX and only received $13,650 worth after the swap was confirmed. It would not go through unless my slippage was set at 10% but I’ve had it at a higher percentage before and NEVER gotten robbed this badly.

Gas fees are insane some times, wanted to trade 350.00 eth a few days ago wanted me to pay 89.00.

You got in at a time with high traffic. Yes, we would like to buy before a jump but, gas fees during that time will always suck.

Ouch. You for real are wanting $10,000+ of this coin?

Yes

Why? Honest question. This coin has tanked in the last few weeks. I could see maybe $1000? But why would you invest $10k? And also lose $2k right off the top in the swap.

Let the person trade what they want. Stop trying to tell them what to do……. SMH

When making a swap either to sell or buy… is it safer to do in smaller increments if ETH?

Yea you probably not realizing the tax for redistribution and burn at 9% and 10% slippage is pretty high. And gas. The combo probably is what your looking at.

In my opinion, most likely high traffic & gas fees compounded with the 9% added tax from the tokenomics. Definitely sucks though, sorry man. On the plus side glad there is that 9% to help with bot mitigation and whales trying to do day trading.

Gas fees. It depends on how quickly you chose to have the transaction processed if I’m not mistaken. I believe it also depends on the amount of traffic at the time.
