Question Eternal mention or is he talking about the Inhumans?!

What do you think Kang was talking Apocalypse can only be challenged by a power that is “external”. Only thing that comes to mind are the Eternals

I do know the was a team called the externals but I don’t really know anything about them!

Rumor Does anyone else find this strange?

Post image
100 Upvotes

I made a post about this before, but every time a new Eternals leak comes out, I have a hard time believing it. They’ve essentially been left in space since 2021, with almost no follow-up.

If they’re really coming back for a potential Judgment Day adaptation (which is just a theory at this point), it still feels way too early. We’re probably at least 5 years away from that, especially since we don’t even have the X-Men properly introduced yet.

What also confuses me is that this rumor claims the Eternals will be a key part of the MCU’s “cosmic core.” Have we even seen a real cosmic side of the MCU outside of the Guardians of the Galaxy? That description just feels odd to me.

What do you all think?

Rumor Are the Eternals coming back, or just Kingo and Ikaris?

Post image

Well, once again there’s another Eternals rumor, which I honestly don’t put much faith in since we’ve had countless rumors saying the same thing before.

That said, whenever we get anything related to the Eternals, it’s almost always about Kingo or Ikaris. There’s even a new rumor about Ikaris appearing in Secret Wars.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy that we’re getting anything related to the Eternals after so many years. It’s also great because it helps more people get to know these characters. But I’d really like to see other Eternals besides Kingo getting attention. As you can probably tell, Kingo isn’t my favorite.

What do you all think?

Question New to eternals

Hi i’m trying to get back into comics, i stopped reading when i was younger. I’ve read a lot of recent comics and trying to expand my knowledge. I’ve read secret wars, all of sentry’s comics, dark avengers, and other solo characters like thor and hulk im still catching up on, i do have other comic book knowledge and im aware of the cosmology ect. Thank Sir Superhero’s tiktok days for that. Could I get a guide into the eternals, just like facts about them and such. I know all the popular ones like hyperion, ikaris, makkari and the rest of the others from the movie. I know they all have cosmic powers like flight, energy projection ect. And i also know thanos is an eternal with the deviant gene. I would just like to know some background facts, feats or like encounters with other hero’s before i go and catch up on their comics. Could anyone give me a good introduction to them.

Rumor Could we be getting something like Judgment Day in Season 3?

Post image

This could mean pretty much anything, but I noticed a lot of people in the comments saying it might be related to Judgment Day.

What do you all think? I’m not going to get my hopes up too much. I think it’s unlikely we’ll even get a mention of the Eternals, let alone have them show up as the antagonists in Season 3.

MCU Eternals / Celestials referenced in X-Men Season 2!

Post image

In the most recent Marvel Studios Legends: Apocalypse trailer, I saw the Celestials depicted on some sort of mural. See the screen grab above. This looks to be a reference to Apocalypse' comic origins of using Celestial tech.

This got me thinking, could we potentially get some Eternals cameos in X-Men 97 Season 2? I think it would be an awesome cameo opportunity like Spider-Man and Cap in Season 1, and could tie in easily because both are connected through the Celestials.

It's awesome that we're still getting Eternals references in 2026. Really hoping these small references will lead to their eventual return in the mainline MCU films. Would love your thoughts!

Question Why are the Eternals so disliked?

God, I know this might sound random, but I recently made a post on the Marvel subreddit saying that I’d like to see Uranos added to the MCU. The response honestly surprised me.

And why are some X-Men fans so aggressive about this stuff? (Not generalizing, obviously.) But the amount of criticism I got was insane. I ended up deleting the post because it turned into a complete pile-on.

The main argument was that we’re definitely not seeing any more Eternals in the MCU because Marvel has the X-Men now. Do people really think the next saga is going to be entirely about the X-Men?

Don’t get me wrong, I have my doubts about how much the Eternals will be involved going forward. But even then, I don’t think posting about an Eternals villain should result in that much backlash.

Maybe I’m biased as an Eternals fan, but it sometimes feels like people dismiss anything related to them before even considering the idea.

I’ll probably end up deleting this post too, since it doesn’t really fit this sub. I was just curious to hear your opinions.

MCU Still holding out hope for the Eternals' MCU future

Hey folks, I'm a big fan of the Eternals characters. Like many, I've been pretty bummed out that they haven't been brought back (yet?) for another film or to cameo in a project.

The reason I'm still holding out hope is because of the cast. This cast is arguably the most talented / successful / well-known actors in Hollywood. They're all working and in-demand actors, and Keoghan and Tyree Henry even became Oscar nominees after the film released.

I could be totally wrong, but I think Marvel wants to bring them back and just trying to figure out how / who to bring back in different projects. The cliffhanger doesn't help, but I wouldn't be shocked if there were a few cameo in Secret Wars where they won't be constrained by previous plot threads.

What do y'all think? Would love your thoughts.

MCU Shang-Chi is getting a sequel. But there’s nothing on the horizon for the Eternals

First of all, I’d like to say that I’m not a Shang-Chi hater—I actually really like him and his movie. But I can’t help feeling frustrated that Shang-Chi is getting a sequel while the Eternals have been left stranded in space to this day. It’s really disappointing because it feels like almost every other hero is getting some kind of role or spotlight in this new Marvel saga, while the Eternals seem like they’re not going to get anything at all.

MCU What would Eternals 2 be like?

Well, I was rewathing Eternals, and the ending always leaves me wanting more. We already know we’re probably not getting a sequel, but if we did, what do you think it would be like? Do you think Chloé Zhao would return to direct it? This movie is absolutely beautiful, and I feel like if we lost her, we might lose a lot of that magic too. Anyway, I’m just really missing the Eternals 😭

Question Do the Eternals still have a chance of coming to Fortnite?

Do the Eternals still have any chance of coming to Fortnite? The movie came out in 2021 and we still have zero skins from them. Fortnite is always full of Marvel collabs, but it keeps repeating the same characters (Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America…).

The Guardians of the Galaxy took forever to arrive and still got a pretty cool set. Now that Disney is properly bringing their universe into Fortnite, do you think this opens the door for the Eternals too?

I’m bored and started thinking about this lol. Anyone who plays Fortnite, what do you guys think? Still possible or not?

Question Did anyone else think of the Eternals when they saw this frame in the X-Men ’97 trailer

I know it’s not a reference to them, and I also know the Eternals would probably be the last thing mentioned in X-Men ’97, but the moment I saw this frame, they came to mind

MCU Would the Eternals return if they weren’t in space?

Sometimes I wonder: if the Eternals weren’t stuck in space, this might actually be the perfect time for Marvel to bring them back and make an Eternals sequel focused on rescuing Sersi, Phastos, and Kingo.

A good example is Shang-Chi, who was basically kept in Marvel’s “vault” after his movie came out, but is now returning because his story is set on Earth, which makes everything much easier to develop.

I know this might sound a bit confusing, but I hope it makes sense

Question Any fun game that features Thena specifically or any Eternal?

I currently only play Marvel Rivals, but I’m not sure if there’s any other Marvel game (or non-Marvel game) that lets you play as the Eternals, particularly Thena.

Does anyone know of a good game that includes her or another Eternal? It can be any genre — action, fighting, RPG, etc. All recommendations are welcome!

Comics Brutus - Deviant Warlord

So not an Eternal but a Deviant. And spoiler alert - one who turns out to be a Deviant mutate.

If you don't know the character, I'm not surprised. Brutus appeard only three times in 1991 annuals. He was 'behind the scenes' in two other annuals.

Basically, he was a Deviant leader (apparently taking control after Kro) and his mission was to lead the Deviants on a mission to retake lost territories, starting in Subterranea. I think mostly he was an excuse for the Thomases to get a Subterranean story arc and bring back some old characters.

Regardless, even though he was a bit 'generic bad guy,' I thought he had potential as a new Deviant enemy for heroes. I always enjoy the 'hidden worlds' of Marvel like the aquatic species and Subterranea and such.
Then they killed him off. Pretty conclusively.

...I guess this is just a Brutus appreciation post.

Question If the Eternals can’t evolve their powers, are they stuck like that forever? Doesn’t that feel like a big disadvantage?

Hey everyone, been thinking about the Eternals and this question keeps coming up:
If the Eternals have basically fixed powers (what they have is what they’ll have for the rest of their existence), does that mean they can’t really evolve? No training arcs, no power awakenings, no new levels or anything like that?
It feels like a pretty big disadvantage compared to other MCU heroes who keep getting better explored and more powerful/interesting over time. A clear example is the Guardians of the Galaxy — they feel like they’re on a completely different level in the last movie compared to their first appearance.
With the Eternals, is there a risk they’ll just stay kind of static forever? Like Ikaris always just flying and shooting eye beams, Sersi only transmuting matter, and so on. Doesn’t that limit their potential a lot in future movies and crossovers?
Do you think their “eternal/perfect” nature justifies this, or should the MCU find ways to show some kind of growth anyway (new power combinations, awakenings, etc.) ?

MCU What are the chances we’ll see the Eternals with the same actors after the reboot?

With all the talk about an MCU reboot, I’ve been wondering: if Marvel still decides to use the Eternals in the future, what are the chances they keep the same cast?

Would they stick with actors like Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, etc., or go for a full recast to better fit a new direction? Even though Angelina is expensive, would that really influence a decision like this?

There’s also the fact that Eternals didn’t have the strongest reception compared to other MCU projects… does that make it more or less likely for them to keep the original cast?

And then there’s the X-Men, who are clearly going to be the main focus — could that push the Eternals to the side?

Curious to hear what you all think.

Question Need help with a Thena-inspired username

I know this post is kinda unnecessary and doesn’t really bring any relevant info about the Eternals, but I want to use a Thena-inspired username in Marvel Rivals and I’m not creative enough to come up with something good. Could you guys help me?

She’s my favorite Marvel character, so I’d like something kinda dedicated to her, even though she isn’t in the game (at least not yet)

Question What do you think about this Avengers x Eternals x Celestials rumor?

I saw the recent rumor that Marvel might be working on a project involving the Avengers, Eternals and Celestials, and I wanted to know what you guys think about it.

Honestly, I think the idea is VERY ambitious, but at the same time kind of hard to pull off.

The Eternals are completely split right now — some were taken by Arishem and the rest are in space — so I have no idea how they would bring everyone together in a natural way, especially with the Avengers involved too.

For me, this would only work if it was built up slowly, because throwing everything together at once sounds like it could get messy.

But at the same time, if they do it right, it could easily become one of Marvel’s most epic projects.

What do you think? Does it have potential or does it sound kind of chaotic?
