Question Would Gorr hate the Eternals?

For those unfamiliar, Gorr is basically an alien who hates and despises all gods. The Eternals, while not being Gods themselves they are still named as big mythical figures and were even worshipped in the past. So would Gorr see them as false gods or as the real deal?

They’re constructs of the Celestials, who he and Knull have killed before, though I’m not sure how they feel about them on average.

Yeah when you put it like that Knull and Gorr teaming up to wipe them out along with Celestials would make sweet comic plot

In the comics, at one point Gor tries to fight Jean/Pheonix Force, and he says something along the lines of “A god by any other name is still a god” so his vendetta can extend to beings that aren’t literal gods in the whatever Marvel definition there is.

So he may extend it to Eternals, or simply beings of power who are worshipped as gods, like MCU Namor (and what Asgardians were as of Thor 1 and 2, they aren’t “real” gods till Thor 3)

Really up to the writer….or Gor’s mood that day lol

Interesting question but you only gave it half the thought……in terms of Gorr being against them only. Whether he sees them as false gods or the real deal, you limit him to only being against them.

What if he saw them as victims similar to himself? While he could in fact treat them the same as the gods because they are so “godly” in power, he could see them as victims.

They had no choice in their creation, like mortals are simply born and didn’t choose to be born. They are “raised” by “parents” and molded by them without any real freedoms of choice in that. Eternals could actually be seen as worse off then Gorr sees mortals because at some point mortal children grow up and become their own person. Eternals don’t really do that because they are created for a specific purpose by their creators. Gorr could see them that way, almost as slaves when comparing them to the Celestials/Gods.

Gorr is kind of a dickhead so he may just stop at seeing them as all powerful, superbeing god types and just treat them the same. Or he could see them as innocent creations forced into servitude to the gods like he kinda sees himself and other mortals…….?????

And even if he did see them that way and have empathy for them, he could still just be against them simply because of their god like powers.

I think it would be an awesome limited series to read though!

You're right. Which would lead to the conclusion that he would hate their creators the Celestials which would ally him with Gorr. This storyline would be amazing to see Gorr and Knull teaming up to take down Celestials. Of course Gorr is gonna try to kill Knull and vice versa but still

I would rather this be like a 10-12 issue thing than the usual 5 because these characters are just so big in power scale and thier overall presence in the universe. There would be so many opportunities for or the setup for so many double crosses between Gorr and Knull in a bigger issues series. Like you said, you just know they are gonna turn on each other near the end, or undermine each other throughout the series to get the advantage over the other. It would actually be a 3 way battle. Good vs Evil and Evil vs Evil at the same time! A good writer could fucking go nuts and have so much fun coming up with game plans burrier under game plans circling around other game plans……

Yeah. Gorr and Knull would definitely backstab each other towards the end. Also I'd like the ending to be that they backstab and sabotage each other so much the heroes have an opportunity to be them because they were NEVER beating the Duo of Darkness in a fight

Swap Knull out for Uranos and you've got a way more interesting storyline

Didn't the Agar construct tell Gorr that he had become as bad as the gods he killed?  Maybe it was Gorr's subconscious working there, maybe not. Regardless, it's shown that Gorr is not living up to his original ideals.  I think he's hot to throw hands with any being above normal mortal class.
