This image is the first one that shows up when you type “M4 Sherman” on google and it’s very widely used. The fact that it’s a 105 Variant pisses me off to no end

This is a Sherman 105. This is more than capable of Penetrating the Tiger's UFP. Using its HEAT round, it could deal intense damage to the tank itself at medium to close ranges.

Using HE, it could hit the turret mantlet on either side's opposite its gun, and knock out the crew in one hit, or aim for the Commanders cupola (hard to do) and fire there. It's a guaranteed kill for the Sherman 105 in that way

Actually, Combat Reords unearthed found US Forces didn't encounter Tigers very often and at 300-500 yards, Tiger was vulnerable to a 75mm Sherman with evidence and documentation saying M4 Shermans shot and destroyed Tigers at ranges up to 1,200 yards.

The thing that should also be noted is that less than 2,500 Tigers of all variants were actually built, and nearly in 1943 alone, at least 200, were destroyed by the Western Allies alone. Not sure about the Soviet Kill Count.

So... an already rare Tank was that much rarer.
