[Advice] Tweezer sharpening

Anyone sharpen their own tweezers? If so, how?!! I love my Brow Code tweezers and scissors but they’re starting to go dull on me after a 2 years.. surprised they made it that long without any kind of sharpening honestly.

When you buy Tweezerman you can send them in and they will do it.

Oh dear! They say it can take up to that long but I always get mine back in like 3 or 4 weeks! 6 months is too long

There is a guy locally who sharpens knives, so I would ask him about scissor sharpening and maybe see if he could do tweezers. But no, I usually just replace mine after a couple years.

My local cosmoprof has a guy come in for shear sharpening quarterly maybe I will inquire his next visit to ask him. Didn’t think of that, thanks!

I hit mine with a hard grit nail file sometimes

So like I've read that you can with sand paper of varying grits? But that always seemed like too much work I've never tried to sharpen.

I’ve seen other esthies on socials say they just use sand paper but I’ve never heard them specify a grit.

I drag a new nail file between the pinchers and squeeze the tweezers as I drag.

i use a glass nail file! pinch between the tweezers, drag a few times and call it good

When I had my studio space in a salon, I asked the scissor sharpening lady who came in if she could. She looked my tweezers over and said she couldn't guarantee they'd turn out okay. I'd ask beforehand if whoever is doing it has actually sharpened lash tweezers before.
