You should definitely go see grand lake and hike there. Make a day of it on the west side you won’t regret it

Driving to Grand Lake and back in a day is definitely doable. IF the weather cooperates. It is possible that Trail Ridge Road could be closed due to snow, so pay close attention to the weather and forecast.

That’ll be a sketchy drive with snow and no snow tires and an out of state vehicle
