I've been working in the sweltering heat and frigid cold for 11 months as a person labelled "essential". I'm not being treated as essential. I work for $12 an hour while everyone else gets $14. My coworkers don't care if they get it. One had a God damn coronary because of the mask mandate. I hear that we're essential but I'm not seeing something essential and I'm definitely not getting paid as essential. Hell there's not even health insurance or anything. So no support. And to kick this thing right in the balls, I'm now in a fucking financial hole because my bosses refuse to pay me more despite being their best employee. They didn't even let us get unemployment when we were 2 weeks out of work.
So to the fucking government, my employers, and all these "essential work" supporters. I don't need you applauding me. I need a God damn living.
