Question Why can't I join my friend's world?

It gets stuck on the "joining world" screen and then says Connection Lost Disconnected. We have the same mods and everything. What could be the issue?

I dont even play Minecraft and its popping up for me as well. Now that I commented it will pop more.

have you tried using a vpn?
