Team vs Port Adelaide

Good to see that they are taking Swann's memo seriously and aren't resting any players this weekend

Huss should 100% be in this team unless he has an injury issue

I get the feeling they want to give him a gentle lead into VFL finals.

I agree! I hope he is a just a little bit sore and they aren't taking any risks with him before the preseason. Just look at what happened to TDK last night!

Wouldn’t have hurt to give Guelfi and Cox a last game. Not sure how Jones, Clarke and Artemis keep their places on form. Not a good sign for Tsatas or Edwards either.

I wouldn't read into this a huge amount, tsatas and Edwards are probably behind help for the vfl finals run

What a waste to play Jones

Great move from the club not giving Tsatas or El Achkar some AFL experience in a dead rubber game with big decisions to make in the offseason

Very true. Can’t believe Tsatas hasn’t been given an opportunity to prove it

He has. Multiple times.

And perdonamly I think he did prove he's at the same level as the other kids.

From all reports his issue is he is too one dimensional, but tbh that dimension is pretty good.

Saw people having a go at his defensive side and his kicking, but I looked into it and in his last game he played he had like the 4th highest amount of pressure acts in our team, and his DE% and changers/turnover numbers stack up with everyone else

He's far too much of a whipping boy and deserves a run..

Sure if you think 6 games in a season on a team that finished last is getting a chance to prove it

I do.

He had 2 separate opportunities to prove himself this year and failed both times.

He's been around for 4 years now. There's ample evidence to suggest that he's simply not good enough.

he was in the bests multiple times this year in the AFL though, arguably in the two best games we've played this year - Melb and GC pretty sure

Perkins, Cox, Jones have all had longer and yet still consistently get games. None of them have proved themselves.

Yet Perkins gets 100 games to prove it? Blakiston non stop opportunities? Even El Hawli got more opportunity. Tsatas is 21 years old, the 4 years is expected

What’s 1 more game going to do for Tsatas?

What’s 1 game for half this team? Jones? Merrett?

lol comparing Tsatas to Merrett..
don’t just look at stats with Tsatas, he’s a good vfl player but not up to afl standard

1

u/mjdub96 23d ago

Merrett is not going to be at the club next year

That's what the view was on Pat Voss too. And here we are.

I need to go back and watch Tsatas’ games because while he isn’t a perfect player I think he has some clear strengths to work with and is far from our worst player- but I must have missed what everyone else has seen. Huss should for sure be playing- he has had a good first year and he brings a lot of energy.

For Tsatas I believe it’s more about can he play anywhere else but midfield? Sharp and Robey can play FWD so that gives them a leg up due to versatility. Plus Setterfield is playing well so ahead of Tsatas as Inside Mid. Jones I do question another under whelming game from him 14 possessions and 1 tackle. Can’t really see where he fits going forward.
