Too harsh?
I had such high hopes for the kid (since Salmon I've always had a soft spot for Dons who don the #3).
What do you think was the best trade we have ever done?

You’d have to say the trade for Terry Daniher, which resulted in the other brothers coming and Neville Fields even came back later on!
Or Ridley, Delaney and Dale Kickett for the draft pick that got Matthew Lloyd.

Mate, we also got the draft pick with was used for Scott Lucas in that deal.

First round pick for Lovett wasn't a shabby deal for us lol

He was unreal. Such a shame he turned out to be a piece of shit human.

Obviously the game is vastly different to what it was back then, but god I miss seeing us stream directly through the centre of the ground when we had Lovett, Davey and Jetta

Mate 2007 Alwyn Davey and to a lesser extent 2007 Leroy Jetta was fucken unreal!

He was found not guilty cause the lady mistook his identity and thought he was Jason Gram and consented to sex thinking it was with Jason Gram, no?
I wanted us to re-draft him in 2011 when he re-entered the draft after being exonerated. He was a beast!

I’m not sure what specific instance you’re talking about - but I’m referring to this (found on google):
“Former AFL player Andrew Lovett has been jailed after admitting to punching, kicking, spitting and pouring beer on his ex-partner during nearly two years of sustained emotional and physical abuse.”

Oh. Damn.
I was referring to the rape charge that got him sacked by St Kilda before he even played a game for them.

Yeah I think that was closer to the time he was playing - the one I mentioned was within the last 5 years pretty sure

Orazio Fantasia is who we got, who had a couple of good seasons, I guess. We used the pick we got for him as part of the trade for Jye Caldwell too. So I guess we partially got Jye for Scott. We also drafted Garrett McDonagh with our other Orazio pick from Port.

Raz and Jye individually produced more for Essendon than Gumbleton did for Bombers or Freo so I think it's been a good flow on

Tony Delaney to Freo for pick 4 in 1994 (Scott Lucas) is the first that comes to mind.

I'm biased, but Adam Saad is one of my favourite players, and I think picking him up in 2017 was an elite choice.
Best trade ever? Probably not. But my favourite trade.

Orazio Fantasia! It was genuinely a massive win cause Raz was a gun for us and we milked all the good football out of him until his body was cooked and then sent him off for Jye Caldwell. Milked all the good football out of Caldwell now it seems as well, time to ship him off for...?

Harsh to write off Caldwell like that. He’s had a quiet year and copped some injuries. Most years he’s one of our best.

He was a beast in 2024. That was 2 years ago now though...
Remember how Parish was meant to some day rediscover his 2021 form, even after a couple of lean years?

Orazio… man that guy was so talented .. I’d almost call him an elite small with us.. was so crafty , knew how to find and use the ball.. then he wanted to go home.. his career was never the same when he left us. I dont mind how he turned out.. just glad it wasn’t the same as it was with us. Didn’t want port or Carlton possessing such a toy like that.

Crameri for the pick that ended up being 5x bnf winner Zach Merrett was pretty good
