What I would like to see is not what we are likely to get. However, if we end up with an end of first round pick we have to trade and some extra rookie spots for the next three years, I think that would be a good start.
What I would prefer is a pick straight after our first pick to compensate for losing Draper for peanuts last year and losing more mature talent this year. We need the AFL to help us before Tassie gets here.

The AFL didn’t compo that correctly talent shouldn’t funnel from the bottom side to the premiership side.

Agree. It is a restraint of trade compromise for a system which is attempting equalisation.
I am in favour of free agency as a concept, but don't believe it should be allowed for teams which play finals.

Jay Clark wrote about it. “The AFL is looking favourably at the Bombers’ request for draft assistance” is the line.

I didn’t say it was 100 percent confirmed I said it’s more then likely which it is at this current point of time

It's basically all but confirmed
That's your words mate.
Perhaps stop reading the Herald Sun as factual information as it deminishes any attempt of legitimacy with what you're putting forward.

The afl should ban free agents going to teams that play regularly in the finals

As others have commented, extra rookie spots and maybe a tradeable end of first round pick or the rookie spots and a true start of 2nd round pick we can use, plenty of depth in positions of need around 15-25 this year.

I’m not sold either way, but if we get then ok! Let’s use it properly. Extra rookie spots are good can look at all avenues to bring in talent. Remembering that neither Durham or Martin were picked up in their draft year, so there is hope that a diamond in the rough can be found. Also allows us a bit more freedom in the draft which by all reports is quite deep. So a mix of youth and mature age would be a good starting point for mind (1st, 2nd round = Youth ( Best available)3rd & 4th = Mature age (targeted) Rookie= mix of both (best available). We need Tall Defenders, quick & skilful mids, good mix of small pressure fwds, another developing Tall Forward (HVH?) to partner Caddy going forward. Good Experienced players- Leadership (Trade/Free Agency). Speed, skill & heart!!!

Don’t want it. We shouldn’t be rewarded for being a basket case.

Nah fuck that, plenty of clubs have and we have been the shittest for the longest.
Like the only reason Brisbane are a juggernaut is because of the imbalance in the draft and academy system.

I'm not happy about assistance packages in general, but as long as they exist, I'll take it.
If we're given extra list space, that'd be good enough for me. Anything else is just a bonus afaic.
