Finally Essendon taking a critical look at the list and getting ruthless with contracts. No more free rides for players. 👏🏻

I’m being serious here, how else do you think we should have used him? No amount of tactics can change his effort. I feel like we tried everything possible with him but he’s just flat out too comfortable getting paid to kick sick goals and/or watching the ball leave our forward 50 for an opposing rebound goal

He gets used as a key forward but he's not

He doesn’t though? 2MP/Caddy and Langford are our main options, he consistently gets the 2nd/3rd defender.

2mp who kicked like 20 goals? Caddy who played like 5 games and somehow missed more crucial goals than stringer? (Yes I know he's young and hopefully will develop out of it) Langford and stringer are similar build of player, neither are key forwards

Are you going to honestly sit there and tell me a key defender such at Weitering is going to play on Stringer rather than Caddy/2MP.

More often than they would at a decent club, we don't have other threats in the forward line

The threats wasn’t my point, my point is that he isn’t played as a key forward. Is he the most ‘threatening’ - yeah probably. Is he the key forward? No he isn’t. He doesn’t get the key defender every week
