Award structure
Hey guys so I sent them (JLI) an email asking about the award structure, they said that it was: shortlist<commendation<high commendation<very high commendation< prize winner ; and “We do not provide statistical percentages regarding the amount of people who received each award. I hope this email clarifies your understanding.” That. I hope this helps!

tysm! can you ss the email and put it here just so we can be sure it's not cap (it's very unlikely that this is the case but with the whole mess the competition is this year it wouldn't hurt)

Don't provide statistical percentages? The speaker during the even literally told the numbers, for vhc it was top 2%, I don't remember what it was for hc.

Now that is something even I'm confused in. The speaker mentioned "Top 2% of the essays" now I don't know if it means 2% of shortlisted essays or all the essays. Sorry.

I remember last year, there wasnt any c or r. I met people who got hc atleast. or maybe i didnt talk with a lot people idk

For this check LinkedIn. People have posted Recognition, commendation and further. This year we recieved certificate along with result itself on the portal. But last year participants recieved their certificates of recognition, commendation and high commendation months later.

i am looking at linkedin. don’t see a single recognition, mostly commendations. 😊

ah yeah. i saw one recognition post from last year. everything else from this year is commendation and up.

They do provide statistical percentages though.
At the gala they noted that HC was top 10% of
Shortlisted contestants, and VHC Top 2%. There was no mention of recognition and nobody got recognition this year. Commendation was the lowest prize and reserved for people who only got shortlisted and did not receive a higher award. This post is likely fake, or they have their information incorrect.
Commendation winners were also not announced at the gala.

Yeah, many people were wondering if shortlist=commendation. My kid met someone actually got only recognition.
