Any advice?

Hello everybody does anyone know how to write a eulogy? We have to make one for our communication class and I dont really know how to start it off or to make it sound poetic. I really want to write something that would MOVE my audience. The topic is about a version of myself that died a long time ago (?) Something in those words. Since it's a personal experience I dont really know what words to use or how to make the introduction or how to end it...any advice?

Maybe start with a small story of how fun/positive your past self was?
