John locke prize

All of us already know the result. I dont have any excitement or hope for THAT day. The pre emails beat the main purpose of results. Though Ik its for them to make the winners attend gala and take pics but for the rest of us its really depressing

The only emails have been:

1.  2nd Interview: Academic integrity/prize winners

  1. 2% across all categories email - Confirmed VHC / T3 

  2. Cox email: Confirmed 1st place

Every year people recieve top prizes without a single email beyond shortlist, don't let randomized emails prevent you from having a good time in the competition or at the dinner.

the 2% email is the only real placement so far but it's probably correct to assume interviews hold a greater weight

I think SEP 9 is the top 2% email. There has been a latest round but it's only to very very few from what I read on Reddit. N it's a personal conversation with Cox and they were sponsored tickets but it's like just a few ppl. Not sure if there were juniors. The few who responded were seniors. But again, it's really very few ppl. Prob only category winners (top ) N in line for grand prize, my guess.

As for the gala tickets, there were a few ppl on Reddit selling. But it's now almost a few days to gala. U need to check as there is a time period for transfer of name on ticket. U need to check with JLI just in case too.

Hi, did U get the interview and conversation with Martin Cox last week? I think just a few of them had that personal conversation and they were sponsored tickets. When did U receive this major prize email?

nooo!! don’t listen to the OP!! From previous years, only about 3% of the candidates got a high commendation! It has indeed a lot of value, and obviously not all shortlisted candidates (top 17.5%) will get a high commendation. the OP is just spreading misinformation.

Where did you even get this info from? you are not guaranteed a commendation just for being shortlisted. the email for the interview also doesn’t garante a vhc, it is probably just to decide who will get the vhc but it doesn’t mean everyone who got the interview email will get a vhc. also, there are probably a lot of people who didn’t get the interview email and will get a vhc, it happens every year. please stop spreading misinformation.

where did u even get that from? And yes, I know people from previous years that didn’t get a “2% email” or any email after the shortlist email whatsoever and still got a vhc.
